New RS policy

Pay for it. Mega just does not have the files and RS does so we pay for RS. You get a LOT for your money!
I also believe that Mega running two host sites requiring two subscriptions is bad (greedy) policy.

Indeed. It's funny how more often than not it's people who don't share anything themselves that make demands to stop using rapidshare.

I'm reluctant to pay for anything that's downloadable, but a rapidshare account was ultimately money well spent. If you make the effort and upload a lot, you earn enough points to keep extending the account for free. I haven't paid a penny/cent for a few years. But even if you're not inclined to put in that effort, for the money you're getting access to so much porn, films, music etc it's ridiculous...

to get 10000 free rs-points ( and save ~ 10 $ ) you have to
upload approximate 500-600 files and that means at the end of the day -

"Converting" isn't possible, the collectors account will stay. If you have the sufficient amount of premium points you can create a new premium account from within both, collectors and premium accounts.
Beside that, moving the files from coll to prem or back is always possible, although it is much more easier to move from premium accounts (with "list view" you have checkboxes to select individual files). Moving from collectors accounts you either can move only single files or "all files" (at the bottom of the page)

I know this is weird and i would not recommend it in normal situations, but if you need points badly, upload some newer, hot stuff and post at any place you know, stuff that normally gets deleted fast.
