This is a very interesting discussion on the minimum download size to change the time stamp.
But I'm sorry to say, I don't believe in it.
For one user it's 100k, for another user first it's 5MB, then 3MB, and for a third user 5MB is not enough.
That's just not the way computers work.
Are there other possibilities?
So far, I can think of two.
1) RS has a monitor program, continuously doing it's round by all the downloads, checking which downloads are active, allocating bandwith and stuff like that.
Each time the monitor checks in on your download, you get a "click", when you have enough clicks the download counts and the time stamp changes.
And when you pass 5MB you get your Rapidpoint.
Well, something like that.
2) It's a simple timer. When the download is active long enough, the time stamp changes.
For now, my money is on the monitor.
Here is another shot in the dark.
I haven't used the program shmeet suggested yet (still hoping to find a safer way, it's three weeks until the deadline).
But this is how I think it works:
The tool sends a list of files to download.
By downloading them all simultaneously you slow down each individual download.
On every download you do get the "clicks" while downloading very few bytes.
In this case that's exactly what you want.
It seems to be a very useful tool.
But, like Loui said, it's a net-tool, use at your own risk.
And even if the tool is safe, you are still risking RS kicking you out.
If I can think of a safer way, I'll let you know. But right now I have nothing to offer.
