Hotfile?????

I know 5 other BIG pornboards where hotfile also are on the not permitted hosters list, so it´s not only at Forumophilia you can´t use hotfile.

I am working in another forum where the admins allow Hotfile - unfortunately. Maybe I can share some experiences with Hotfile:
I banned today 60 accounts, 42 of them were posting with hotfile. Whoever opens a forum for hotfile should be aware that this is a major entry point
- for SPAM,
- for greedy cocksuckers who cut the throat of other users for 4 additional downloads,
- for double-, triple and quadruple posting
- for multiple account posting
- for general ignorance of any existing rules

Other services like depositfiles or storage pay also, but the spam level is by far lower. If you want to keep this forum nice and clean then continue with the current strategy to prohibit services like DF, ST and HF.
HF posts increase the load on a forum. This might make an admin/owner happy, but I have my doubts that the current infrastructure of forumophilia is able to bear more load.

I have to say that I'm very happy about these rules. I've seen other boards where lots of hosters are allowed and its a pain in the ass because you can't have premium everywhere, so you have to wait for lots of downloads.
forumophilia is the board where I am always on. I have an rs premium account and I know that everything that is posted here is just seconds away from beeing on my hd.
thats my point. and thats a big +++ about this forum!

I must say i have no Premium Account at now Host.I make my Uploads for other Members Joy and not for Money or Points. I don`t have a Problem if Uploaders earn Points or Money,when the Site is ok..I mean -no Hijacking,dozend Popups or such Crack..
Since a few Weeks you sometimes have to wait a Hour before you get a Downloadslot at Rapidshare,then you must wait 2 Minutes and after that the Speed is so slowly that it takes another Hour to get 100 MB...

Megaporn is blocked in Germany, so only Rapidshare & Megaupload works for me at the Board.
I (and many others i think) would have no Problem with Deposit,Uploaded and Hotfile..Freakshare is a Service that becomes more and more popular too..
And where is the Problem if someone choose a Mirror and you have the Choice to dl from RS and megaupload and uploaded for Example ?

I see a lot of great Stuff on other Boards too,and People came here and want to add Files and saw that nearly everything is forbidden..I can understand that no one wanna make Uploads at RS or MU for this Board extra.

It´s good that real crappy Hosters are forbidden but there are some more good ones beside Rapidshare and Megaupload.

Please allow HotFile.

It is friendly for uploaders.

I care nothing for money, I had the choice of cashing in a hundred plus Euro at RS, it was cancelled and I never flinched.

I now have hotfile money and I still don't have any inclination to cash in.

The NUMBER ONE reason to allow hotfile is their facility to make a copy of a file.

This saves the uploader so much time in 're-uploading' the dead links.

I cannot tell you how much of a godsend this is.

Please consider letting HF into this forum.

I am at the cross roads where I am weighing up continue to upload to RS for HF banned forums Vs no longer posting to them at al.

I like this forum and would like to continue to post here.

HF is I may say one of the best for free non premium users, which I'm the one for now, but I consider buying one soon.

I couldn't dw anything form deposit, this one sucks big time. "No free slots for your country" ... stopping in the middle of dw, no resume ... As for HF I can download full Xvid 700mb in few hours as free user with same speed as RS.

So I vote for HF too, It will benefit a free users. Not to say that HF have second large vol. of files on the NET after RS. If HF stick to this policy it will lead and replace RS leading role in the very near future. They are as good as of the volumes of files/shares they have online.
Same was with MU vs RS.

RS will go down, less and less sites with RS downloads.

the only new think i know.. rs stop paying indirectly money (amazon voucher code).
maybe that's the reason someone ask for allowing paying hosters?

Don't make this lame excuses and morality issue as "paying hosters". This is not 80s or .edu campus whit slogans "Net must be free" Nowadays everyone try to squeeze some cash or benefits from the NET.

File hosters, they make lot of money, image hosters they make some money 2, this board host banners, are they for decoration? No! On the other hand you are totally wrong with RS. Sure some ppl cash RS points, on various ways I want explain here. But some uploader are getting lazy and prefer direct cash than jiggling with RS points, a/c, rewards ... I can point you to 30+ sites with massive uploads of movies (BRRip's of 4.5gb) Huge 30-50+ full movies 100-300GB upload daily on RS by the site management. You think they put all the time, expenses & risk just because of altruism and love of the share!? Just to make us lurkers happy so we can watch the latest flick in 720p or even 1080p.

The host itself isn't that bad, but their successful affiliate program also attracts the spammers. It's a constant battle everyday to keep the board clean from the junk they're posting. Take a look at Trilight's post above and understand we're facing the exact same problems here, even though we never have allowed Hotfile. I'm not saying all Hotfile users are spammers, far from it, but only a few of them can turn any forum into a complete garbage dump.

And yes, I'm sure we're losing traffic by not allowing Hotfile, but I also believe that works in the opposite way as well. People come to Forumophilia because we don't allow Hotfile.

I tried downloading a few files from Hotfile yesterday and I have to say the service is excellent for free users, I can understand why people are moving their files there.
