Hmmmm. Its quiet in here. Too quiet.

SD, sorry but you won't be getting any Black Sabbath by me. I used to have the complete Vinyl collection. My mother was a bit worried about me, listening to all of that (this was the early 80s btw). But I also listened to groups like Chicago, the Beatles, Genesis, Yes, etc ... which meant I'd really turn out fucked up. Check.

Let me knock off a couple of SD's latest set:

#3. SRV - Cold Shot. Can't believe this one is still available. Was the forum down for a while or something?

#7. The Church -- Unguarded Moment. Not their first or best song, but is the first song on their "best of". Smile Under the Milky Way -- much better IMHO.

Stumped on #6 and #9.

Funslover you are da man, I never would have gotten Dr. Hook.

Ubisuck, no worries ... I didn't google, but I did giggle. Laughing Hey, ever heard the Jethro Tull song "Too ........

Gnome - thanks for checking in, and please ignore Mole, he must have gotten up on the wrong side of the burrow or something. Cool story regarding Tori Amos -- but frankly, if I was performing on stage, and I saw a GNOME in the audience -- I'd stare too. Lyric you wrote is her song Silent All These Years from the same (debut) album, Little Earthquakes. She's always been a little crazy, especially when she was yuhnger, though she's matured a great deal in the last 10 years. Pearljam certainly were something before they went loony. Don't know the lyric you wrote but will guess -- Pearljam. Wink

Good set, SD, with stumpers. But I'm having my revenge right now -- am watching Kate Beckinsale in "Van Helsing" (the only reason to watch that movie). Hominna hominna hominna. Cool

Hello, ... is there anybody in there? Just nod if you can hear me. Is there anyone home? Come on now, I hear you're feeling down. I can ease your pain, and get you on your feet again. Relax, I'll need some information first. Just the basic facts, can you show me where it hurts?

There is no pain, you are receding. A distant ship's smoke on the horizon. You are only coming through in waves ... your lips move, but I cannot hear what you say. When I was a chiild, I had a fever. My hands felt just like 2 balloons. Now I have got that feeling once again, I can't explain, you would not understand; this is not how I am.

But I ... I, have become, comfortably numb.

Who the <bleep> is Gabrielle? Confused Anyway awesome Mozzie, it appears that the Darkmodfather has a cushy spot for Shakira as well. Wink She never hit it big in the US as far as I know (I could be wrong, I'm really not into dance pop), but everyone in Europe and here in Asia seems to know her.

Funslover, no worries -- famous SRV song, but the lyrics aren't exactly well known and sometimes hard to understand. Stevie's better known for his gee-tar than for his Texas drawwwl! Rolling Eyes

All - don't mind me up above. Just paying homage to one of my top five bands of all time doing one of my top five songs of all time -- the mood strikes me every once in a while. Currently planning a 2-week ramblin' trip to Morocco in May, and I've never been there before, so I'm feeling a bit happy. Very Happy My ramblin' tendencies have been suppressed in the last 10 months or so, will be good to break out the boots and my walkabout hat again (Banjo Paterson Akubra, you Aussies should get a chuckle out of that one).

I am LMFAOTEKNBERUYRBT that you posted #10 there. That's like one of the oldest western songs there is, and has probably been covered by eleventy-seven bands. YIP-PEE-I-OH, YIP-PEE-I-AY,

#10. Ghost Riders in the Sky -- don't know who wrote it originally but I do know that Johnny Cash did it, as well as that southern rock band from the '70s, The Outlaws (more famous for Green Grass and High Tides Forever), since its on their Best of which I bought because of GGaHTF.

Quiet again in here. SD, this was a pretty hard set. Only other ones I know are

#3. Creed - With Arms Wide Open
#5. Sister Hazel - All For You

#4 -- I know the song, but don't know the artist or title. Maybe this will help someone else. Its a mid '90s song where the chorus is "And it FEELS, and it FEELS LIKE Heaven's too far away" or something like that.

Stumped on #1, #6, #8, and thankfully Funslover got #7 cuz that one had me as well.

Come on people, let's show SD we're worthy. Mad Mole, show Tamarin you're better than him! Rolling Eyes
