I'm not sure of the title of number 5 but it's the one that goes "Thunder only happens when it's raining". I haven't got a clue about any of the rest as usual.

OK, jee-ZUS, its been less than 24 hrs since I was logged in, and I missed TWO of these things (good thing too, some of those were hard Embarassed ). I better chime in quickly.

Latest set -- I'm going backwards because the first one is FAR AND AWAY the best song of the set.

10. Not sure if Fred wrote it, but Limp Bizkit did it -- Rolling.

9. Kiss, that sappy "Beth" song they did. The horror ... the horror ...

8. She of the unmistakeable voice -- Kate Bush. Not sure of the song title, think its Babushka?

7. Kudos to Mozzie. Didn't know this one me-self, so whew. Cool

6. Done. And one of only 2 decent RS songs IMESHO. The most overrated band in history. Gee, can you tell I don't like the Stones? Rolling Eyes

5. You got it Dionysus. Fleetwood Mac - Dreams.

4. Mozzie got it, yep yep yep.

3. STUMPED AGAIN DAMMIT Evil or Very Mad
(just yahoo'ed this ... DOH ... Fuck Me Freddy, should have known ... awesome choice SD)

2. Girls Talk, by the "other" Elvis.

1. YES! One of my favorites, especially any live version, and especially any live version that I saw in concert. Ladies and Gentlemen ... Mr. Stephen Stills. The song? His best solo song from his eponymous first solo album, Love the one you're with. Also done brilliantly on CSNY's Live Album 4 Way Street. Should have known that someone with "DarkStar" in their name would try to slip something in from either C, S, or N. Very Happy

If you're down and confused
And you don't remember who you're talking to
Concentration slips away
Cause you're baby is so far away
Well there's a rose in the fisted glove
And eagle flies with the dove
And if you can't be with the one you love, honey,
Love the one you're with.

These are tough! The only one I recognized right off was Gordon Lightfoot, but that's like Mozzie recognizing Rolf Harris.

Anyway, I have my plastic Jesus right here, just in time for Easter.

Number 1 sounds a bit like "8 days a week" by the Beatles but I'm probably wrong.

SD -- Elvis Costello wrote Girls Talk, although the Dave Edmunds cover is more popular. I knew it from EC's Get Happy (Exp) CD. Actually forgot about the famous DE version.

Okay -- new set. You've got me stumped on #5 and #10, and I'm happy as a puppy with 2 peters that Funslover got that Unicorn song thing because that one had me as well and I've never even heard of the Rovers. Rolling Eyes So of the ones still left unanswered ...

#1 -- Gary Moore, Walking By Myself. RM does the Blues, even non-American stuff (okay, okay, a Belgian friend burned me some of his stuff, and wow, pretty good).

#4 -- Iron Maiden!! Holy shit dude, I haven't thought of that song in a looooong time. Number of the Beast. Surprised I remember it because I'm reasonably positive I never heard it sober or un-stoned. Embarassed

#5 -- ???? Anyone? Anyone? Beuhler? Beuhler?

#8 -- Mole got the name of the song (take it on the run), so he gets honorable mention on this one. But Mole, get ready to smack yourself on the forehead: Journey, no. REO Speedwagon, yep.

#9 -- surprised no one got Sheryl Crow, since its one of the more recent of the set (albeit mid-90s). A change will do you good, you know. Smile

#10 -- ????

Cheers SD -- good stuff.
