I cannot believe that I haven't seen this thread before. Oh man oh man oh man oh man oh man. Cool

1. AC/DC -- Who Made Who (not sure if that's the title, but I think it is).

2. Ship of Fools by World Party. One hit wonder (in the US). Although I generally hate most of the music from the mid-80s.

3. done

4. done (Tom Petty sucks! Twisted Evil )

5. Shit dude you got me on that one. Stumped.

I'll check in this weekend and do my own quiz, is that ok SD? Don't want to piss in your pool or anything. But I love this kind of stuff.

Hey SD! Looking at the topic further down about ' Who shaves the girl' and it reminded me of something. Have you ever heard the term ' Aussie Kiss' (I read it in an American book) cause I certainly never have. If you haven't either , the Yanks apparently use this term for a 'French Kiss DOWN UNDER" !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

SD, let me know if you mind me doing my own one of these in here, okay? And SHIT, I just remembered that I registered in your music forum and have forgotten to ever return (very ashamed). Sorry about that. Embarassed

1. The very famous 2-hit wonder band Paper Lace, "The Night Chicago Died". 1974, I think. Bonus points for anyone who can come up with their OTHER big hit.

2. Oh my God you didn't just ask about a Partridge Family song did you? Shocked Very Happy "I think I love you". Actually, did they write it, or just cover it? Uhhh, not that I care... Embarassed

3. Rock Show by Sir Paul McCartney

4. done

5. Stumped again on #5!! Sad

RM

p.s. Tilly I'm a yank, but I've never heard of an Aussie Kiss. Makes sense to me, perhaps its new? Of course most of my fellow yanks will mis-pronounce "Aussie".

Oh shit, you are totally right -- my bad -- I was in fact thinking about BDBAH. Embarassed I always thought that was Paper Lace, as when I was a lad my sister had a Paper Lace album (name escapes me) which had "Billy" on it.

Ok time to close this one and start a newbie

1 Paper Lace - The night Chicago died
2 Partridge Family - I think I Love You
3 Wings - Venus and Mars/Rock Show
4 The Red Hot Chili Peppers - By the way
5 rocky Burnett - Tired of toeing the line

Nice work everyone, btw wings were still together at the tim Venus and Mars was recorded but Sir Paul is a dandy answer anyways and will always be accepted.

and the Partridge family was a good early 70's show that pushed the boundries of the TV norm. their album is a must have. I can upload some if people want. Also to answer a question, I think I love you was written by Tony Romeo.
None of the original 1970 music was written by the family and only 2 songs in 1971 were co penned by david Cassidy and that was "Lay It On The Line (Wes Farrell/David Cassidy) " and "Love Is All That I Ever Needed (Wes Farrell/David Cassidy) " in 1971 they released 3 albums and one of those was a christmas album.
1972 saw them release another 3 album and cassidy had his first solo composition on one of them "There’ll Come A Time (David Cassidy) "
that was the bads only contribution to the songs of that year.

was that to much information?
