Chers nickname from c-hildhood was "JPC" and that stood for "Just Plain Cher"....lmao....freak but she looks cute sitting on a battle ships main guns with a ribbon for clothing.

Ok Ive decided that I should have a massive 70's FlAsHbAcK to when I was like 6 and recieved my first compliation albums. some of the best music in the world was released in the early 70's and of cause some of the worst.lmao. here we go, so every song below is from the early 70's and from one of two albums I recieved at the time. man what a scary time it was. flares or bell bottoms, starsky and hutch, charlies angels oh yeah. no wonder a guy is so messed up

I was sitting on my feet by my old fireplace, When in walked my little girl home from school and I could see that something was wrong by the tears that were rolling down her face

4) I used to be a rolling stone, You know if the cause was right

5) I learned the truth at seve-nteen, That love was meant for beauty queens and high school girls with clear skinned smiles, Who married young and then retired

6) Oh, the black-eyed boys, They motor-cycled into town, The people cried, it's the black-eyed gang. All in white, a super band

7) When we were ki-ds I was your friend watching you grow you didn't get much of the love most of us know

8) Met a woman in Vancover, nearly drove me out of my mind

9) Galloping like the prince of darkness out on the northern plain nearly looks like a wave on the ocean, let the clouds drop their rain.

Number 5 is "At 17" by Janis Ian

Wow, never heard of Jimmy Nail, so I'm guessing he didn't do much in the USA. Steve Earle and Chris Ledoux are/were country singers I think, and RM doesn't do Country. OR Western. Wink (tribute to one of the best movies of all time, The Blues Brothers).

There was lots and lots of fantastic music from the early 70s, although it went downhill by the mid-70s. And I usually know stuff from that time pretty well (although I often forget what I had for lunch the previous day), but it has to have been somewhat known in the US. I know very little Aussie stuff.

I knew a grand total of 3 from this set, and two are already gone (Elton John and Styx). The Janis Ian song tickled my memory, great snag Dionysus, pretty impressive. The only one I can add is

#6 -- Black-Eyed Boys, by Paper Lace again.

Good luck on others. Smile

I only recall one song about Muhammad Ali, so I'll take a wild stab in the dark and say number 2 is "In Zaire".

REVIEW
Still Crazy
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Director: Brian Gibson. Cast: Stephen Rea, Jimmy Nail, Bill Nighy, Juliet Aubrey, Timothy Spall, Billy Connolly, Helena Bergström, Bruce Robinson, Hans Matheson, Rachael Stirling. Screenplay: Dick Clement and Ian La Frenais.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Not quite a drama but not quite a comedy, Brian Gibson's Still Crazy follows the endeavors of Strange Fruit, a band who lapsed dramatically from its arena-filling glory days of the 1970s and now, twenty years later, wishes to make a comeback. The reasons for their resurgent interest in music-making and performance—all the more surprising a development since even their re-recruited manager Karen remembers that "you all hated each other there at the end"—are variously explained but never compellingly, and we are never sure precisely why these characters are doing what they are doing, or to what end the movie is taking them.
