Obviously because he hasn't broken any laws. The law doesn't prevent people from making the movies specifically. From what I gather, in the state of Florida it prevents distribution or import from other states or something along those lines. That's what they got him on. Not
making the movies.
It's just a pity there isn't more regulation regarding treatment of the girls. I mean think about it... in a workplace, you can have someone for sexual harassment if they do something inappropriate.
But these girls, many of them unhappy with the treatment they got, signed a legal waiver, probably too complicated for them to understand, allowing him to do what he wants, possibly waiving any right to compensation for injury, hardship, illness, etc. It would be interesting to read that contract.
Would you sign a contract from any employer, no matter which industry, saying you consent to behaviour from your employer which will include unwelcome, unwanted or possibly harmful physical contact? Ok, that applies to many sports - but they are also supported by some tough regulation. You can't punch someone playing rugby. Everyone knows what the rules are. Do the girls know the rules? Are their any?
The girls should be provided
plain-English (or Thai, Mandarin, Spanish or whatever) explaining specifically what activities will or could be performed, and they should not be allowed to sign if they don't understand or haven't seen examples. Kidz (and 20-somethings ARE kidz) can so easily be traumatised, pushed into depression, have their trust in adults and society damaged.
Is that what we want just so we can gawk at pussy? It's not like there aren't proper reasonable ways of doing this - lots of girls will do this stuff willingly and in full knowledge and consent, and that's fine. But as caring people we should not tolerate ANY less than that.
It's hard to believe some people will bitch about the economy and oh! we should clap bank execs in irons because they deceived us into trusting them with our cash! And on the other hand not give a toss about ignorant/naive/foreign young girls being taken advantage of, in a much more personally damaging way.
It's one thing to get off on a **** fantasy or something, where it's clear that it's an act for the camera. But quite another to enjoy knowing that a girl really did not like what was happening in a scene and is really upset about it. Then you need to start thinking about your motives a little.
