Ignored that thread until you guys all jumped on him, then it was interesting, then you guys all kissed and made up and it is boring again. He can have his thread and I will start my own "Interesting Things To Put In Orifices."

Now wait a cotton-pickin' minute. I didn't kiss anybody ... all I did was delete my one post in the interest of "happy forum", and besides I said that I would shut up, so I shut up although I still think the guy is a total ass. Of course I also figured that no one would bother with the thread once the excitement was gone and that it would die. Twisted Evil Anyone attacks my buddy molé? Time for RM to kick ass and take names. Lock and load. Kick the tires and light the fires. Oops, ahem, of course, Mozzie, you didn't hear me say that. Rolling Eyes

Anyway, okay, so you guys got Natalie Imbruglia, cool. But no one for #3, 5, or 7, even after my big lame hints? Hmmmmm. C'mon now molé, I think you're still holding out on me. And where o' where can Darkie-Dark be?

I do not want to hog them all, but I find that #7 is appropriate now that I reread the hints, finally unlocked brain and came up with:

7) Anger Against My Computer RATM- Bulls on Parade

Judging from the other hint that I think I deciphered, most prolific poster, has to be the pinniped, who a few days ago I was tied with, and is now a couple hundred ahead of me, so I guess it must be Seal, for 3 or 5, but the only Seal songs I know are that Kiss song from Batman and Crazy.

Could not glean another clue to the third song, so I am out...

Also, I know you guys did not kiss and make up, that kiss reference was referring to his tagline of "Come here and give me a kiss" In the interest of forum civility, I know everyone let the issue die...But I agree with the tiny print you put up, the guy is a pansy backpeddler who I would have respected more if he stood behind what he said instead of trying to weasel out with the "misunderstanding defense." I also appreciate everyone coming to my defense, I was not around for the altercation or I would have been in the thick of it also Laughing Laughing Laughing Laughing

Well i WAS in the thick of it (only because some twerp PMed me and said I should) but only as a very polite member of this community- debating and discussion and in no way did I engage in rudeness, insulting posts, personal attacks or purposefully inflammatory remarks. I only went back and deleted a few selective post where I thought the spelling was ungovernable. That having been said, I was right there 4 ya buddy: that shit. Twisted Evil Twisted Evil Twisted Evil

Yes, I agree 100%, proper grammer and spelling are crucial in this day and age of civilized electronic communication. I would hate to have to read anything bigger than say TWO PAGES Wink pertaining to the lowly mole in another thread, and have to put up with any errors Laughing Laughing Laughing

Never fear, everybody knows you are the epitome of proper manners in this forum, nobody has ever accused you of anything l-ess...

Except for anybody that knows you, I mean...HEHEHE

Never fear everyone, pretty much the only people that EVER saw that thread are the people involved, and thanks to all for filling in for me in my **** absence...

Number 5 is Seal isn't it. I can hear the tune in my head now but don't remember the next line or the title.

So 5 must be a Seal song, but I am at a l-oss. That l-eaves #3, and I am detecting another pattern, perhaps a clue, in the Lone Ranger Entering Gay Country. I am guessing that #3 is a gay or lesbian performer...

George Michael, Elton John, Indigo Girls, Melissa Etheridge all had hits in the 90's...The rumors of Michael Stipe from R.E.M., but I am sure it is not R.E.M.

Sure there are more G/L artists I am missing, hope this helps the rest of you Very Happy

I don't normally get involved here... But mole, your powers of deduction and analysis have pointed out the answer to me... Very Happy

The artist could be accused of being constantly pregnant with the title...

Thanks for more hints, Oobfather, but I at least am still drawing a blank...

3. (1992) Maybe a great magnet pulls all souls towards truth. Or maybe it is life itself that feeds wisdom to its youth.

Lesbian Canadian artist that could be accused of being constantly pregnant with the title...

Only thing I can think of that is even related is a quote from one of my favorite dead guys...

"All energy flows according to the whims of the Great Magnet"

But Gonzo Journalist Hunter S. Thompson is dead, and subsequently shot out of a cannon, so I cannot ask him. Plus he was male, was American, and never had a hit single in 1992, so he is not an option...

Jeez RM, Darkfather LIKED to stump us on at least one Wink

The Hunter S. Thompson quote is one of three I carry around in my little planner. I like it a lot. You cannot control your life.

The other two are:

2) "A foolish consistency is the hobgoblin of little minds, adored by little statesmen and philosophers and divines. With consistency a great soul has simply nothing to do."
Ralph Waldo Emerson

Another good one to live by, do not be afraid to go against the grain.

3) "The reasonable man adapts himself to the world; the unreasonable one persists in trying to adapt the world to himself. Therefore all progress depends on the unreasonable man."
George Bernard Shaw

A lesson on being a follower...

Boy! Look who got deep Very Happy I better get out of here before you guys think I am some freak who does not like porn Laughing Laughing Laughing

Must ponder #3 while I sleep...

Does she sport a man's haircut?
Does she dress like a man?
Has she done Country music?
Did she perform a duet with Roy Orbison on his old hit "Crying," which was recorded for the film "Hiding Out"?

If so, then it has to be KD Lang. I must admit, though, I don't know the song - it is the banter here, and a story I read some time ago about her that brings her to mind. So as a guess, I'd say it is KD Lang. Confused

Yep, it's Constant Craving by KD Lang. I didn't recognize the words at first. It's a beautiful song.
