Just wandering around waiting for rapidshare and megaupload, thought I would see what was up. Not sure if it is the real title, but for number 5, in college-really drunk-we would always want "The Rodeo Song". Either that or "Off to the Rodeo." Not a clue in the world of who sang it or where anyone even got it. I have not thought about that forever, this post really made me laugh. Thanks, I will stop back and try and play too.

ok people

1) Meredith Brooks - Bitch, well done ak_guy as usual

2) Chris Franklin - Bloke, guess this really didnt make it to far around the world it was a send up of bitch the words will follow and if anyone wants a copy its funny I'll upload it.

3) Cold Chisel - Khe Sahn

4) Bob Carlisle - Butterfly Kisses

5) Chris LeDoux - the rodeo song, well done mole and welcome to the game. I would also have accepted Showdown or Gary Lee and Showdown or maybe others they are the only two versions I know.

here are the words to bloke, sung to the tune of bitch,

I hate the new age guys
I'm a chauvinist I live on beer and pies
Tried to tell you, But you look at me,
like maybe I'm an angel underneath
Haven't brushed me teeth.

Yesterday I lied but all me mates
gave me a real good alibi
Thanks guys
I really went out drinking,
I told you I was at work
Don't ask me for commitment,
'Cause it's something I will shirk

I'm a bloke, I'm an ocker
And I really love your knockers
I'm a labourer by day, I piss up all me pay
Watching footy on TV, Just feed me more VB
Just pour my beer, And get my smokes, And go away

Or take me as I am,
This may mean you'll
have to fetch another can
Rest assured, if I start to make you breakfast
I'm going to extremes
but tomorrow I'll get shitfaced,
and today won't mean a thing

I'm a bloke, I'm a yobbo,
and me best mate's name is Robbo
Winfield is me cigarrete, I dress in flanellette
Shearer's singlet that is blue
Throw in a few tattoos, You know you wouldn't
Want me any other way

When you think
You've got me figured out
The season's already changing (from footy to cricket)

I think it's cool
When I act like a tool
And my mates try to shave me

I'm a bloke, I'm an ocker
And I really love your knockers
I'm a labourer by day,
I piss up all me pay
Watching footy on TV
Just feed me more VB
Just pour my beer,
And get my smokes,
And go away

I'm a bloke
I'm a yobbo,
and me best mate's name is Robbo
Winfield is me cigarrete
I dress in flanellette
Shearer's singlet that is blue
Throw in a few tattoos,
You know you wouldn't
Want me any other way

OK time to give this thread a kick in the Ass I think
here are 10 songs of notable repute
some good some so bad they are unforgetable
some australian bands so you might have to think

Ok tonights Q&A
Remember NO GOOGLING

1) Out here nothing changes, not in a hurry anyway, you can feel the endlessness

2) Woke up this morning from the strangest dream, I was in the biggest army the world had ever seen

3) Just yesterday morning they let me know you were gone, Susan the plans they made put an end to you.

4) She had a dream, and boy it was a good one, so she chased after her dream with much desire.

5) You got me steaming at a hundred degrees, each time I se you I grow weak at the knees.

6) Met a woman in Vancouver, nearly drove me outa my mind, she told me she was lookin for a man that could satisfy.

7) Jenny Jenny who can I turn to, you give me something I can hold onto.

8) When the lights go down in the California town, People are in for the evening

9) She grew up with the chil_dren of the stars, In the Hollywood hills and the boulevard,

10) I tried to make you happy, Lord knows I’ve tried so hard to be, What you hoped that I would be

Been waiting for this Very Happy I'll give it a shot

3)James Taylor Fire and Rain

7)Tommy Two Tone 867-5309 (Jenny Jenny) Amuse yourself-page your friends some may be dumb enough to fall for it-mine are

Cool Damn this one I think is "Gold" by whom I cannot recall keeps running through my head that there are "people out there turning music into gold???"

9) I know this song, but title and artist drawing a blank, I do know that he thinks she would look a lot better if she smiled once in a while, just like Nansy and Laura!!!!

If I had to take a random stab because at least one is australian band, none I seem to recognize as Men at Work or INXS, so one must be by Midnight Oil???

I like this game, thanks again

well done mole

3) James Taylor - Fire and rain

7) Tommy Tutone - 867-5309/Jenny

Your correct with the song title for "gold" if its any help thats Stevie Nicks singing the backing vocals. kind of shows you how old it is.

and you are heading in the right direction with the other guess the song is "lullaby" but thats the only clue.

As for Australian bands your way off 1, 2 and 5 are world known Aussie bands but not the ones you listed.

thanks for having a go

Might be a wee bit o' cheating, but not googling, I talked to my brother and he had no clue either, but the conversation leads me to think #9 might be titled "Rockabye" Question Question

And typing this just now I am kicking myself for not recognizing it sooner #4 is good old Johnny Cougar "Paper and Fire" I think its called.

Was going to reply back on the dedicated mole thread, but with all those Zitta picks I was afraid you might not see it Laughing Laughing Laughing

Just wanted to say thanks for thinking I was more like a tooth, people that know me would have all gone for the fleshy abnormal growth hahahaha Laughing Laughing Laughing

I give up on the songs, I would not want to hog all the glory, so someone else chip in and get the rest!!!

I just hope they are quick, because I have had those two lines from "Gold" going through my mind since you put it up, and it is driving me crazy!!!!

1) Goanna - Solid Rock
2) Hunters & Collectors - Holy Grail
3) James Taylor - Fire and Rain
4) John Cougar - Paper in fire
5) Radiators - Gimme Head
6) Gene Pitney - Trans Canada Highway
7) Tommy Tutone - 8675309/Jenny
8) John Stewart - Gold
9) Shawn Mullins - Lullaby
10) Bon Jovi - Wild is the wind

nice try here mole you did well, I copied and pasted this from my other music forum so I guess I didnt expect anyone to know the Aussie Bands.
I remember "gold" from when I was a k.i.d, Stevie Nicks is doing the backing vocals and she is awsome, love her voice.

and as for the tooth, I was more impressed that you were mentioned in the bible, not many people can say that......

Great, I'm going to Itunes that damn JohnStewart song and listen to it a couple times, maybe then I can have some mental piece and quiet Laughing Laughing

I remember that song from being a youngling also, maybe that makes me old, but I am pretty sure they were not referring to a hedonist like ME in the Bible Laughing Laughing Laughing

Unless it was something like:

"and he madeth the blind mole seeth, by giving him a better prescription!!!!"

Maybe next time we will get more to play, I would like to see a time when collectively we get 10/10. Just put in Rush or I guess The Who and we can get marvini.

Thanks for the diversion from porn, it is a nice break to exercise my mind, not my mouse Laughing

You can always find something you might like at my music forum. sometimes the link works other times you have to copy and paste the link into a fresh browser.
we might make this Q&A a retro one 70's and 80's

1) Virgil Caine is the name and served on the Danville train.

2) Wrapped around each other, Lying in each other's arms,
That first cold winter together, Trying so hard to stay warm

3) I looked out this morning and the sun was gone, Turned on some music to start my day

4) Well I think its fine, building jumbo planes, or taking a ride on a cosmic train

5) Everytime I see your face it reminds me of the places we used to go

Well, I am stumped. 1 blank 2 blank 3 blank 4 blank 5 blank.

I know I will be kicking myself when the answers come up, but I leave it to anyone else to solve this set.

Hey never knew that nice guitar actually went anywhere, I might just drop by and astound you with my lack of knowledge in all forms of music Very Happy

It's all for fun anyway!
