YEap... Germany wins... but the game was very difficult for the germans.

Argentina was the hardest team that play against in the World Cup

How many German fans actually thought they would make the semi finals 3 months ago. Now, they must be favourites to win although Italy won't be easy on Tuesday night.

Argentina were the best team in the competition but their manager made a fatal error. He took off Crespo and Riquelme thinking that his team could hang onto the 1 goal lead. Then Germany equalized and Argentina had used up all their substitutions, so they couldn't bring Messi or Saviola on. Crespo and Riquelme probably would have taken penalties too. It was a disasterous gamble to take off both the star player and the top striker. I'm not surprised that Peckerman resigned after the game.

I don't think Italy will cause Germany too many problems. I think Germany will reach the final where they will probably face France or Brazil. I think France are dark-horses and I think they are worth putting some money on. I can imagine Zidane upsetting the Brazilians like he did in 1998.

well well well, italy- germany and portugal-france. First let me start: Its a DEFEAT for football that portugal is through to the semis. If I ever hated a team it's Portugal. They play ugly and their theater and screwing opponents makes me miserable. Especially wankers like figo and ronaldo. Yes, im from holland, so Im not very objective maybe but again the way they beat england, who played with heart and soul, makes a football-lover sad.
Another thing I defiatly need to complain about are these referees. They influence this world cup far too much. Take for example the red card Rooney got today, which was for the push (and not for crushing the testikels of that wankerportugese).
Ah, anyway, let me stop complaining, but i have got mixed feelings about this world cup. Anyway, im happyt france beat brazil. Hope the final will be france against germany, and for me france may win now, although germany are favourites i think.

If Van Basten had played Van Nistelrooy instead of Kuyt then Holland would still be in the competition. It was madness not to play him, he is a deadly goal-scorer.

Well well well ... so much for Brazil. Horrid defense on that one free kick -- hey look at me I'm Roberto Carlos (who is a great player, no doubt about it) resting my hands on my knees insteadh of marking Thierry Henry (France's best player and the only Frenchie I like), who goes completely free to score the only goal. Offense? Hah. Evidently they spent too much time reading their own press. Ronaldo? Adriano? Kaka? Cafu? Zip zip zippy zippity zip. Ronaldinho -- admittedly a great player -- but I wonder if he might just be a bit overrated, as he did nothing in this WC and perhaps his great supporting cast at Barsa makes him look better than he really is. Eh, I'm sure Dionysus will shoot that one apart. Just didn't perform though. I guess it happens to the best of 'em.

You're so right... Kuyt played a weak game.
