There haven't been many exciting games yet and the teams are too defensive, but it will get more exciting from now on now that everyone has played at least 1 game and some teams have to win rather than just draw.

i think a lot of it has to do with the new ball.

physics shows that because it's actually thermally bound and it doesn't have seams like all the other balls ever made did, and those seams, which act like the seams on the baseball to create a turbulent force in front of the ball, in turn making the air flow around the ball in a uniform fashion which allows for a predictable and physically calculable path of the ball...

the experts predicted that the new ball was going to account for a giant increase in the number of goals because the goalies wouldnt know how to play the ball, because it was supposed to fly in an erratic path... well, since the ball is flying in an erratic path, its the exact opposite of what was expected...low scoring games because the ball isnt hitting the net as often as expected.

or just that it's been a defensively heavy group stage.

Ok i may watch england, and theyre not the most exciting team, but the vuvuzela???? The buzzing instrument that seems to be in the mouth of every fan who goes to the game, is driving me crazy.

The last game i watched i had to check the room as i thought id got mosquitos/fly infestations. Even worse, it totally drowns out the fans and makes the atmosphere almost muted. Theres no excitement able to be heard when the players score... ahh...

Maybe its just me ranting, but what do you guys think of that? I really dont like it. The tournament is in its early stage, and for me i love to hear the fans and their excitement, but so its frustrating so far.

Uraguay win by 3 goals to nil!
The host need to beat France in their final game to have any chance of going through.

It will be a shame if South Africa go out of the tournament as it's always better if the host nation does well, but they haven't deserved to get through on their first 2 games. Uruguay could be a dark horse.

Argentina looked good against South Korea and I was very surprised by Greece's comeback. I expected more from Nigeria and now they are going home.
