#7 Ohhhhh, Man, RM!!!! And to think I wuz considering you a buddy? Sounds-like-a-goat Stevie Nicks...??! If I had a sword in me hands, I'd have to lop off your purty lil head for such a heretic statement!!!

Waaasssup, Ramblin' and Sir_D?!

Grimble = )~

Sir Gnome! Good to see you hear in the hallowed halls of Darkstar's thread. Want some coffee? Diet Coke? Or perhaps some Masala Chai?

Don't be hatin', you know I've got nothing but love and respect for both you and SD. My joke -- actually South Park did it first, using the Stevie Nicks/Goat comparison in a famous episode -- was simply targeted at Sir Darkstar, as I know he's a Stevie fan. Didn't know you were a fan as well. She really wasn't all that bad (when she was yuhnger), but I always liked Christine McVie's voice better. Anyway, as far as lopping off my head goes, you'll probably have to get in line behind Darkie-Dark. Wink You could maybe dance around my bleeding (bleating?) corpse.

Not sure if he's going to give me credit for #6 given my entry above, so just to be sure -- yes folks its an Aussie band, the Divinyls -- I touch myself.

I think that leaves only #5. I don't know but I'll make a guess. How about Smokey? Very Happy Now he's really gonna kill me.

RM

p.s. Evanescence did that song? Shocked Shocked Is that right? Wow. I really love Amy Lee's voice. Pity they do god-rock though. I have an acoustic recording of "Bring Me To Life" that is just phenomenal (not online though, sorry).

Oh, is THAT what that was? I thought it was Grimble swooshing in to steal my Prawns Masala last night. Hmmm. Come to think of it, my hair does seem a bit shorter today.

Speaking of Stevie Nix, Sri Darkstar, have you ever heard Tori Amos' awesome acoustic cover of "Landslide"? I know you're a TA fan too. Highly recommended.

Ya know, if I had a nickel for every time I've heard that .......

Tougher set this time around. But you didn't really think you'd sneak some chick-rock by me, did you?

#1. Alannah Myles -- Black Velvet. Another good Canadian singer/songwriter, but she's a one-hit wonder now.
#2. Avril Lavigne -- Skater Boy (I am 40 years old, I do NOT write Sk8er, and I know how to spell Boy).
#6. Dido -- White Flag

#8 -- song is "Sleeping in My Car", one of my ex-gf's was a singer in a band that covered that song. I don't know the name of the group that did it, but I can hear them in my head -- one of those annoying light punk shitty bands from the 80s (sorry, just my opinion).

Great pickup Nopoop! Had no idea about that one.

Sheesh, SD, I think being a mod here now is making you a bit testy. Take 2 Roxana's and call me in the morning.

Knew the Blondie and Laura B song as well, but didn't want to be too greedy. had no idea on #5, 7, and 9 but thankfully Nopoop was "showing his age" as he said and snagged 7. When it comes to Sonny and Cher, I think I know "I got you babe" but that's about it. Rolling Eyes

Have fun on Saturday SD and thanks for continuing this thread.

p.s. I'm only about a month older than you O Dark One...

ok lets keep it happening here

1 - wont be the first heart that you break, wont be the last beautiful girl, the one that you wrecked wont take you back if you were the last beautiful girl in the world.

2 - I'd never tell you a lie, I'd never let you down, I'd never leave I'd be the one who'd always be around

3 - I think I've already lost you, I think your already gone, I think I'm finally scared now, you think I'm weak, I think your wrong.

4 - As he came into the window, it was a sound of, a crescendo, He came into her appartment, he left the bloodstains, on the carpet, She ran underneath the table, he could see she was unable, So she ran into the bedroom, she was struck down, it was her doom.

5 - I thought about, leavin but I couldnt even get out of bed, Im hangin cause I couldnt get a ride out of town, now anyone that really wanted me to be down come around.

6 - It's all about the game and how you play it, All about control and if you can take it, All about your debt and if you can pay it, It's all about pain and who's gonna make it.

7 - Its amazing, how you make just like a wall, how you take your heart and turn it off, how I turn my head and lose it all.

8 - Until the break of dawn, Life, Life, and I quote by the letter, Time, Time, Prozac can make it better, Noise, Noise, any kind will do, Can you feel it slip away, well it's all on you.

9 - All day, staring at the ceiling, Making friends with shadows on my wall, All night, hearing voices telling me, That I should get some sleep, Because tomorrow might be good for something

10 - Once was a sweet thing, baby, Held that love in our hands, But now I reach to kiss your lips, It just don't mean a thing
