Me? A KISS fan...? A little... I use to sing Detroit Rock City, and Strutter, and Shock Me in an old band, but I really go for the prog rock stuff, and the 'Oo, and the Doors, and Jimi... Late sixties, early seventies, the seattle stuff, 80's new wave...Motown, classic jazz...but, KISS???

Thanks for putting the song in this one, though, S_D - I really do suck at this damn game!!!!

Ok I stand corrected, and I thank you esteban for the PM.

"You've Got a Friend" is a song from the early 1970s which marked the singer-songwriter movement.

The song was written by Carole King and appeared on her 1971 album Tapestry.

James Taylor sang a version of "You've Got a Friend" on his 1971 album Mud Slide Slim and the Blue Horizon.

I dont like admitting I was wrong and it WONT happen again

now come on, there is a new one up. Lets get going.

I am 27 years old so I guess a lot of these songs were probably just before my time but how can I ever forget my older brothers music when I was just a kid. All The Smiths and The Cure songs they used to listen to and of course I will never forget Madness!

No. 6 is : Madness - Our House

I remember it more recently of course with pub's having music from the 80's nights better. Still can't guess more than one song from each list though, but I will try Confused

HUH? Kris Kristofferson wrote Sunday Morning Coming Down? Holy crap, I thought it was like 40 years old or something. And now wait just a second there SD, I thought #3 was the Goo Goo Dolls, never heard of Plimsouls ... will have to look that one up and edit appropriately if needed.
edit => Harrumph. Plimsouls, whoever they are, did it 15 years before the GGD. I bow to the superior intellect. I'll take my humble pie ala mode, please.

New set: RM does NOT do disco. Twisted Evil However... Embarassed

#3. ELO - All Over the World
#5. As a 40-yr-old American, allow me to say the following: Rolling Eyes
#7. song is Respectable, but don't know artist
#9. Motels -- Only the Lonely.

C'mon peoples, there are some relatively easy ones still available, certainly easier than Jennifer Love Hewitt. Rolling Eyes

LMAO @ RM. I remember the song " Million miles away" it was from the movie "valley girl" released somewhere around 1983 that my GF at the time made me sit through, now Deborah Foreman and the song by the Plimsouls are the only things I remember from the film, worth watching just to see foreman. Ah my second last year of High School. so long ago now. but Deborah Foreman man o man. Still a babe today.

Valley Girl? Shocked
Like, fer sure, you know, like, whatever. Rolling Eyes
The way she looks now, she is definitely a MIWDNLF.

Except for the summers of 1984 and 1985, I do my utmost best to block out all the time between 1981 and 1988, despite being the same age as you Herr Darkstar. Music included. There is an occasional song/band I like, but for the most part -- gag me with a spoooon.

Looks like no other takers on other songs from this latest set. SD, you might have to close it down earlier than planned. I'll help:

#4. Fine Young Cannibals -- She drive me crazy (oooh, ooh)
#5 Kool and the Gang -- Celebrate

And I absolutely do not know #2. Nope, there is no way a big red-blooded hetero goddamned sexual Tyrannosaurus like myself would EVER know a song like that. No no no no no no no, especially not a song from a certain Swedish group with a palindromic name. Nein, nyet, non, negatory.

But Thank You for the Music, mein Herr.

The bomb in the baby carriage, Was wired to the radio
