Bit disappointed with Kimbo's fight against Petruzelli.

Kimbo would be such a better fighter if he worked on his cardio- not that cardio had anything to do with that fight...

That fight was just strange. Hard to believe Petruzelli put him down with a jab delivered while falling back, on one foot.

Kimbo is fine, I'm more concerned with Gina Carrano at this point. In a recent interview she mentioned she is close to a deal with WEC.

I never gave womens' MMA much thought, until that fight with Gina and Julie Kedzie. Followed that up with Shaya Baszler pulling the twister in a fight and I was hooked on it.

Kimbo will be eaten alive in K1. No doubt they'll put him againts some jobbers at first, but it wont matter, he'll be found out again soon enough.

UFC fight for the troops last night started off alittle slow, but was saved by those 2 great KO wins by Swick and by Koscheck. Especially Koschecks, how glorious was that!? Shocked

I have to agree, I think Kimbo will get eaten up in K-1 thought I think he will do better there than in the UFC.

That was vicious! I hate to say it, but it was kind of funny. When Koscheck landed that first overhand, Yoshida stood there with a "did that just hit me" look....then BAM, the second one and lights out. Shit Wolf, his body went stiff.
Great thing about Kos has been watching him turn into a complete fighter. During his time on TUF he was a one dimensional wrestler, over the years he has changed his game big time!

What an event that was. Amazing. I popped huge for Rampage's win over Silva. Sweet revenge, I knew he'd do it.

Rashad got to Forrest in the end. Pround to say I called his rise to the title years ago. Smile Forrest was doing very well until he was caught tho (story of his life really).

But the big shock of the night was not that Mir beat Nog, but the manner in which he absolutly destroyed him. It was incredible. Hats off to Mir, that was the only prediction I got wrong all night. 2 of the best ground guys ever and we didnt even get to see them down there. Very Happy

Very surprising really, there werent many take-downs all night, not a bad thing tho, the general populous loves a stand up war alot more than a tactical submission game.

I thought Rampage would win, but not in that fashion. That was one of the best left hooks in UFC history. Wanderlai has thrown that 3 punch combo his entire career and Rampage was waiting on it. Block, block, block, left hook from hell.......

Forrest and Evans, I had no idea how it would go, but it's great seeing Sugar get the respect he's earned. I thought Forrest would win that fight after the first two rounds, then one mistake and it's over. You don't see many fights end with a submission from punches. Great fight.

And how about Frank Mir!!! He looked like a monster and I think Brock's time as champion may be over when they meet.

Hey wolf do you think it's time for Wand to hang up the gloves? He has been the victim of brutal knock outs in his last few fights. CroCop, Hendo and now Rampage, don't forget the beating Chuck gave him.

The matches are up all over, you just have to spend a few minutes searching. The undercard matches can be viewed at the UFC's web site.

If I were Wand, I would have to seriously consider giving up. I doubt he could drop down a weight at this point in his career. He's being paid a ton too so theres gotta be a question over if they are gonna keep him around. On the other hand he's still very exciting and a big name, so ideally they'd be looking to renegociate his contract and keep him mid card.

About Forrest tapping, I'm not so sure he did. I know he made a joke about it in his post fight interview that he wasnt tapping and that it was his body flailling around from the punches, but I think thats what was actually happening. Looking at the fight again, it does look like he was just being bounced around by the punches and it made it look like he was tapping.

As for Mir, he was amazingly impressive, you have to give it to him. I still think Brock is gonna take him when they meet tho. Very Happy
But I'm a Brock fan so I wouldnt have it any other way.
I was expecting Nog to outlast Mir, as Mir deffinately still has conditioning problems and Nog is known to last, but fair play, Mir made sure that wouldnt be a problem by taking him OUT.

You're right about Forrest, he didn't tap. I saw the PPV at a Sports bar near my house and with the yelling and "I told you so" going on it seemed like he did.

This really makes the 205 division interesting. I assume the winner of Lyoto Machida / Thiago Silva gets Rampage. Winner of that fight takes on Sugar for the title.

As far as Brock/Mir 2....I can't wait for that one, had the ref not stood them up and given Brock a warning, unjustly if you ask me, that fight may have ended differently.

OMG!!! Did anyone catch the Affliction PPV last night? The ending of the Arlovski/Fedor match was spectacular. Never saw that coming.

UFC 94 is here:

Main Card Bouts:
-Georges St. Pierre vs. B.J. Penn
-Lyoto Machida vs. Thiago Silva
-Karo Parisyan vs.
-Nathan Diaz vs. Clay Guida
-Stephan Bonnar vs. Jon Jones

This one is obviously all about GSP and BJ. In their last fight BJ had a great first round, but seemed to run out of gas and let GSP 'lay n pray' his way to victory.
I have a feeling this one will be back and forth with BJ pulling a slick submission.

Lyoto and Thiago...hard to say, Lyoto can be very boring and is sometimes hard to watch. I'm calling Lyoto in a close decision.

Diaz and Guida will be the fight of the year IMO. Both are crazy, have endless amounts of energy and just love to fight. If Clay can avoid Nate's subs I have a feeling he will get a close decision.

GSP pummeled him! Maybe with some help from a tub of vaseline though...

LMAO, yeah this whole vaseline gate is getting weird. Apparently BJ complained that he was greased up after the 2nd and 3rd round. Either way GSP lit him up!
I thought Lyoto had the fight of the night, usually he is not that aggressive, but he took it to Thiago.
