I totally agree that's why i recently changed to Imagerise (which now isnt so much better). I may try Imagebam for next big upload.

Yup, I'm changed to Imagebam (by the way, Imagerise is not on the permitted list Wink).

I also switched to Imagebam as some of you writing in this thread did, but I'm not that happy with it as I thought I would be. I have to agree with RagingBuddhist that it is somewhat unreliable. It's great for the viewers, beacuse it's fast and free from pop-up's, but for me as a uploader, it causes some trouble.

Often when I'm uploading images Imagebam aborts the operation, showing the images "cut-in-half" or not at all. It's not that funny if you have 10-15 images to upload and have to redo the procedure several times before you get it to work.
I've also experienced problems accessing the upload-page beacuse the servers are down.

I still think Imagebam is the best free image host allowed here and I can live with the issues it causes me rather than sponsoring Imagevenue or any other image host just like it.
(Btw, what happened with the discussion you had in the mods section, Monkey D. Ruffy? You mentioned it earlier in this thread.)

I want to suggest another image host to the list of "Permitted Image Hosts" - Imagehaven. I've tried it for a while now and it looks really promising - fast, free and no pop-up's! What do you think?

Hi humlan.

Not finished yet. Haste makes waste Smile

But if imagevenue will continue with it's bad service, it possibly could be banned. We will tell soon enough (suggestions at this time appreciated).

That is true. Imagevenue is on the dark side now. All these ads and stuff. Imagebam is much better.

Thanks for the tip on ImageBam Very Happy ... ImageVenue was getting on my nerves too.

If IV is indeed banned, will the old posts containing pics hosted on IV be allowed to remain?

Any posts made prior to the ban will be allowed

That sounds fair. Should I check the banned list every day before I post using IV or will there be a notice sent out to all members maybe and or maybe a notice that it is "going to be banned on this date"?

I'd really like to not ever, ever, get a single warning...

You should always check the list of permitted hosting sites, but in the case of IV there will be a date (e.g. two weeks before ban comes into effect).

Just trying it out...

BEAUTIFUL! I hate using imagevenue, and although I know my husband fought to get walagata as an approved host, I will not be renewing something for $10.00 when I can upload here for free (although Walagata allows video uploads). Thank you esteban for the suggestion...YTL didn't even know he could do this!

Like most of you I dislike imagevenue nowadays. What helps is closing the tab when you get the 4 sec waiting and then open the page again, it loads straight away without the waiting. And besides that don’t clcik the pic to enlarge it. This way there are no annoying popups.
