I love discussing basketball and since none of my real life friends (yeah i have them,really,well only a couple) are interested in it,i thought why not open a topic about it here.

As you can see i'm a chicago bulls fan,so you can just start with mocking my team or tell what your favourite team is and what you expect from them this season,who do you think is gonna be in the nba finals this season and so on.

I'm a laker fan! I know the Lakers have high expectations for this season which is a definite, considering Andrew Bynum is back with the group!

Worthy contenders this season in my opinion are: Lakers, Hornets, Celtics, Rockets, Utah, Detriot.

Without mentioning his name,there is another pretty big laker fan here on the forum.

And I actually think that the lakers are the big favourite to win the championship this year,hornets are up there too but i think they lack a little experience.

Detroit made a big deal this week,don't know how that is gonna turn out but it will be interesting to watch a couple of their games,never been a big pistons fan tho.

Imo Cleveland will go pretty deep in the playoffs too.

Yes, I wonder how the Denver/Detriot trade will turn out for both teams.

Spurs are starting off pretty bad this season

I'm a huge spurs but I'm not entirely shocked at how bad they are starting. Not because Ginobili isn't there. It's because they have no good players around Duncan and Parker.

ah yes, i forgot about Ginobili! Spurs should get back in shape soon. I love the game they had against the Suns. The joke on Shaq was pretty hilarious!

As far as the nba goes,one off the few teams i really don't like are the spurs,although i haven't got a good reason for that,just think they aren"t exciting to watch.But they probably will do pretty good in the playoffs again.

Atlanta hawks are doing pretty well too. I don't really like the eastern conference. The games from the eastern conference tend to be boring and low scoring (most but not all the time).

Yeah the hawks are off to a good start this year,but in the eastern i put them in the same category as Toronto and Philly.On any given night the can beat any team but i don't think their rosters are deep enough to keep doing it on consistent basis.

My team is playing Phoenix tonight,looking forward to watching that game but with low expectations.I like the way Derrick rose is playing tho,he was already pretty impressive during the first 5 games off the season.

Yeah D. Rose is doing pretty well. I was shocked by the Spurs vs Miami game. Spurs is going down hill now that tony parker is out.

Didn't know that Shaq wasn't going to play last night but still a nice victory,at least they stay at .500.

Yeah the spurs was a big surprise,it's still very early in the season but they might be in trouble seeing that the west was so close last year and the average you needed to get into the playoffs.

Bobcats beating the hornets surprised me also.
