Gordon looked great last night, that makes him excellent trade bait. At some point we have to establish an interior game. They have no one who can get in the paint and make his presence known. With the signing of Lindsay Hunter they'll have to make a choice, someone has to go. With Gordan and Tavo they might be able to make a trade to land someone. Ben Wallice should have been that guy, but was a huge bust....He was David Wells in a Bulls uniform. Look at what LeBron did to us, that was pathetic! He scored at will, drove the lane and not one Bull had the balls to put him on his ass hard. You noticed last year every time Lebron drove the lane against the Celtics he was put on his ass by Posey and KG.
Rose, Deng, Noch, Kirk, Gooden, Hughes, Thomas add Hunter to that list. You throw a good big man in there and they might make a run. The only way they'll win now is if the team shoots 60% every night. And to think, there was talk of an Andrew Bynum, Ben Gordon trade last year.
You think they are gonna trade before the all-star break?
I think we look a lot stronger then last year,i should check the stats but i think they definetly are scoring more points in the paint than the previous 2 seasons.
I don't know,if they do the Gordon/xxx trade they should get a big man who can score 15-20 points on a nightly basis because with Gordon you loose your topscorer off the last 3 seasons.Although you would indeed get stronger at the defensive end but there aren't too many Kevin Garnett types in the league.
I kinda like the way they are playing this season. If Rose/Thomas could get some more plays like Paul/Chandler.Luol looked a little better the last couple of games,Hughes in the backcourt should be good for the defense and Gooden for some post-up game at center.
And then Gordon,Noc and Noah come off the bench they should be able to get into the play-offs.If they wanna go deep in the play-offs they need another all-star tho.
I'm still hoping for a Rose/Wade backcourt in 2009.
And Boo-freaking-hoo to you lakers fans for losing your first game.
