Batman - The Dark Knight

This movie was every bit as good as advertised. Heath played the greatest Joker he could have and deserves an oscar if he is nominated.

I'm looking forward to it being rereleased in January to get hype for the Oscars. I'm sure I will see it again, GREAT MOVIE!

one of the best movies i had seen in a LONG time. Heath was incredible as joker, Oscar worthy for sure. I heard that in the next movie, joker is coming back and there was talk of Daniel Day-Lewis playing the role which would be incredible too

Daniel Day Lewis as the joker? That would be kick ass but he's got major shoes to fill because Heath killed that role.

In my opinion, the Dark Knight was as great as it was supposed to be. I even thought Maggie Gylenhal(however you spell her last name) was great as Rachel. I always felt Katie Holmes was the weak point of Batman Begins.

Daniel Day Lewis would be fenomenal in that role!!

it's a fab film to watch, i've got a blueray copy of it and it's just amazing

cg010169... being you have the blu-ray copy, what are the extras? I am debating on buying the blu-ray version for myself, but always have a hard time buying a DVD of a movie I already saw. it's hard to justify spending $15 on something you already saw and may never even watch or if you do, only watch it once. $15 is like 3 meals at Taco Bell... but if the extras are worth it, I'll get it

After rewatching it, I realize that Joker truly did kick ass. Although I didn't realize this before but when he set the money on fire, Lau was at the top of the money pyramid. That's one messed up individual.

The Dark Knight is a masterpiece and I find something new each time I watch it. Notice the dirty cops that work for Maroni (is that how you spell it?). Watch Ramirez look concerned when Wertz (the one that Two Face shoots in a bar) drives away with Harvey Dent. Or Wertz being in the elevator when the Joker crashes the benefit party for Harvey Dent.

And as for someone else as the Joker, it would be very difficult to replace Heath's performance in the Dark Knight. Maybe they shouldn't even try. Batman has a lot of interesting villains to go through, as well as the Scarecrow who should return in a menacing role instead of a short cameo in the next Batman film.

With all due respect, I dont think Ledger was or should be the end-all of the Joker role. He did very well but he can and will be replaced, just as Batman, James Bond and many others have several times over, with success.

I think they should put the Joker in the fourth of the new Batman movies (and skip the third one). Give some time and then do it. And I still enjoy Jack Nicholson's version of the Joker. Just keep George Clooney away from the Batcave.
