What you can do is zipping the Files with a Password.
The Filename should be maybe tru67 or kkui6 or something where no one knows what`s in.
These Site (forumopheiia) needs a Referkiller like anonym.to.
So Rapidshare can see every Click that comes from here..90 % of other Boards use anonym.to

And use another Option, http://mirrorit.de

First Step : you put in the Video
2) you can choose up to 3 different Filehoster (maybe megaupload,archiv.to,uploaded.to etc)
3) upload !

You only upload 1 Time and the Site makes a Mirror for you to your other 2 Hoster, automatically. You have only one Upload and three different Hosters. That means if one Hoster is slow or have technical Problems or delete a File you don`t have to reupp cause 2 others Hosters can be used..
Similar works http://xirror.com/ (but you can not choose your Hosts)

OR....
after Upload you got your Mainlink from Mirrorit where everyone can download from different Hosters. Instead of that you can copy all 3 Links of all 3 Hosters and only post the first. (maybe Rapidshare). If they delete the File you post the second (maybe megaupload) and this delete too you post your third (maybe uploaded.to or archiv.to etc).. Not much Work cause you only have one Upload and three Hosters...

another option is at the Moment use others Download Hosters. If the Problem is Rapidshare and they found out that many Users stay away and go to somewhere else and lost Premium Members they lost Money too..
And Money makes the World go round...

Be careful, I've just used that service and the "Inactive Download Expiration for Uploaded Files" is 7 Days for Free Users, and a mere 30 Days for Premium Users ...

After spending some time watching what happens to links posted by me and others here and on other boards, I found some evidence that hiding the direct RS links may by an effective way to protect our uploads.
Deity already has proposed this.

One step further to more security may be using a hiding referrer like http://lix.in Everyone who likes to report links to RS would have some additional work ahead when dealing with lix.in, making his job much more inconvenient.

Sorry, but it is very easy to get the real links from re-directors like http://lix.in. It is not hard work.

I'm not going to tell how it is done but as soon as you are directed to the real site & filename your browser has the info.

What might work is if the re-director got the file and passed it on to you. I don't think there is a free site that does this.

there's no work involved, other than the few clicks

Rapidshare changed (back) the download page to show the full url

Some followup data points: I have a lot of files up on RapidShare, and the ones that were deleted recently were all in specific threads here -- and they were NOT the ones that were generating the most downloads (in fact, some of them were generating a pathetically small number of download compared to my more popular threads). All of my deleted files were, however, from threads involving large, active sites. All of my archives from dead or smaller sites are still intact -- and my files from the same sites that had never been posted here were _not_ deleted.

A useful observation Wraith. Deleted files only being from larger active websites suggests that action is being taken on behalf of these places. This looks to me like some company being paid by the websites to investigate and get any copyright material deleted.

Nice business opportunity. Offer websites a service to check forums like this and arrange for offending sharing to be deleted. People are going to be sharing copyright material forever so work (and income) will always be coming in.

I know other forums either have a list of prohibited website sources or state that any copyright material is banned. One forum has gone as far as hiding all porn postings until they check through the content.

From the experiences of the other forums I'd be surprised if the admin here haven't been contacted in the way other forums have. Maybe it'd be worth having a 'banned' list here so that people don't waste their time uploading material which will disappear in a few days.

I don't know how many times or places I have to say this. There are 1 or 2 pathetic blog site & FHG owners who think they are going to make more money by spending all day reporting links from porn forums. This guy does it all manually. All you can do is make it take longer for them to find & copy the URLs.

There is already a Banned list.
It's called "PROHIBITED / RESTRICTED sites"
https://www.forumophilia.com/topic23501.html
Here is listed all companys that has officially complained to the admin.
Despite the list people still will post from the sites because they don't bather to read.
I had to delete today a post where someone had posted Crush Photo material

I'm no genius on a computer but just as a suggestion:

Most links have screen caps to go with them. Why not type the download link on to a screen cap. The user would have to open the screen cap to see the link. Put it into IE. address bar manually. Once downloaded there would be a rar password on this site to open the file. No automated system could get the link as it is not a link as such but a typed image. It may not stop the link being reported but it would take a lot longer to manually open each screen cap to find the link.

Others may see the screen cap and the link and try to download the file but would not be able to unzip without the password.

The weblink to Crush Photo went down in September 2006 or so.
That indicated they where "dead".
However they resurrected as Crushempire.
About a month ago we where recieving email from them.
Emails that made it clear we only have to obey.

That's something I had missed. Quite a small list compared to other places these days and maybe it needs updating and promoting more obviously in this forum.

Something that I've noticed on this subject in various threads discussing the situation is talk of passwords, encription etc. The problem is that encrypting shared files is easily worked out by any member here. To enable anyone to view files uploaded to RS or wherever the details have to be posted in the forum. Any troublemaker can easily find out how to locate and view any links posted if they are a member of the forum.
