@ Sealion and others, besides the fact there is a snitch here, it's always a good Idea to code your links, it kinda hides them Wink

I dont use Java Script unless I have to and its a trusted site, but it's not needed to upload to rapid share and by having it off it stops the pop ups, give it a try Wink

Codeing links stops them from being searched by the bots!!

I'm not sure whether someone told that before, I think not:

It is easy for rapidshare to find files linked here:
(nearly) each time someone clicks a link to a rapidshare file here, rapidshare "sees" the website/URL this link comes from, it's transmited in the "referer", a standard part of the protocol.
It is possible to tell your browser not to send referers, but that won't help unless all users of these links to rapidshare from this forum disable their referer.

So to prevent submitting referers which lead to this forum the links have to be made unclickable.

There are different ways to do that:
hxxp://www.google.com or
http://www.google.com which is
Code:
ht[i][/i]tp://w[i][/i]ww.google.com
or
Code:
www.google.com

and others...

after reading this Stress i will make a Suggest to GS:
Maybe he update his Censor-Robot with the Option to change "http" into
"http://anonym.to/?http://" . This will redirecting the clicked Links.I seen this on other Forums around...

Means : if a Member write http://www.rapidshare.de and send it, the Robot let it show in the public message as
http://anonym.to/?http://www.rapidshare.de

Thats a great idea and one we use at other fourms but all links still must be coded , the fastest way to get them killed is by not codeing your links Wink

I have always done a copy & paste into a new Firefox window to avoid the referrer problem.

Yes, page referral is very easy to see. You'd be surprised to see how many I get from this site, it always indicates some spud is trying to stream my videos...

sealion, you mentioned searching rapid-suck, I'm not sure if this is what you mean...

In Firefox this can be handled in an easier way:

Type about:config in your adressbar, search for network.http.sendRefererHeader and set it's value to 0. No more referers will be submitted then. (Note: This sometimes leads to troubles, when a page or image is only displayed if the http request has the right referer...)
