Hey all. I think some explanation is needed here.

Although it seems that RS turns its back to all its members by deleting the premium point system its not the way it seems. RS is located in Switzerland. In Switzerland it is legal to download files - even if they are copyrighted. But it is illegal to UPLOAD copyrighted files and - and this is the point - it is illegal to GAIN MONEY with uploaded files that are copyrighted or to INDUCE to upload copyrighted files. RS had no OTHER choice than to delete their bonus point system. They try hard to fight against the copyrights, and even won a lawsuit this year stating that they are not responsible for the content of their clients uploads. But at the same time they mustn't gain money with copyrighted files...dilemma. They are now allowed to carry on as a webspace provider only. Thats the reason behind the changes.

RS is the main hoster on this forum and actually made it big. PLEASE DO NOT BAN RS!!!

And it looks like oron is a "dead end" hoster: no option for direct downloads, there's always a html-page in between, the dl-link is valid 2 hours and only created for your IP, so you can't remote upload from oron to other hosters (at least i couldn't).

For a quite long time there is no quality (new) porn on RS posted on any major board or blog. Only here by few posters and mostly by week or two delay. RS was fine, I have premium since they open (.de +.com). But ... no big use in last six months even year. Well, I guess u guys watch some movies 2, music, software. ebooks ... all declining on RS. And soon there will be very few files on RS. That's reality. Our RS a/c wont even worth $1.60/month. Btw for 3$/a month you can get Letitbit a/c and have TB of new and old porn at same speed as RS, but unfortunately few 2 <0 movies, music, softw ... So HF and MU is best choice I guess for other non porn stuff.

Banning RS is funny decision, because RS banned himself, some just don't get that. Is not about what they do, or this funny morality issue (paying hosts ) it's simple as; no one will pay in the future for RS a/c if there only few files 2 download. I guess u understand that's global (global uploaders).

Well, management is still inventing the wheel. Wish them luck buy narrowing choice to JUST 2 host. ()

I find it curious that this happened so soon after FOP stopped accepting advertising sponsorship (remember l1ttle capr1ce in the upper corner?). I suspect this had nothing to do with the mods or admin, but with the Good Samaritan paying for much of the bandwidth. We may never know what really happened, but the new RS rules are not that bad after their adjustment. But, no forum sponsorship money = no forum. I, too, would love to know where to go next. We are not going to change, just find a new home. It's too bad that that discussion cannot be had here. Hope to find you all again.

I don't want to add more gas into the fire........but there is already a thread packed with fu*king hack of movies that hosted on oron. I don't believe there is enough time for him/her to up all that huge list of movies since announcement was made...what? early today late yesterday? and that member was just registered today. I think is all under table deal........someone knew. Oh well. it sux.

Oron is horrible for downloaders. You get 120000 GBits (which is 9.37GB) for a 3 day period. Once you use it your option "is to buy an additional account." The downloads are SLOW and inconsistent. Once people try it they will hate it if they have used RS.

Instead of banning/limiting hosts the mods should allow the uploader to chose which ones they want to use. The best one will win out because posters will use the one with the best rewards which will force frequent downloaders to buy premium accounts for those hosts. This is why I adopted RS and I am sure most people here did for the same reason.

The model the mods are using is essentially a command economy, and like all command economies (i.e. the USSR) they eventually fail. Capitalism may be evil but it works. Think on it...

I've been a member here for six years. I would pay if GS charged...no doubt. This is the best site on the internet for porn. But banning RS and replacing it with Oron? Really? REALLY? Horrible decision.

Why on earth would you want to decide what upload host contributers are allowed to use, simply because you find they dislike the new RS policy?

The two alternatives are anything but good alternatives. Oron is totally inadequate and Megaupload ?! Please.... it never was or will be a serious alternative for RS.

If been around here for some time, and not the worst member you could have. Making honest replies and all.
But If this dumb policy keeps in effect, Ill be off.

At least most of these vids must have been uploaded prior to the announcement. The question is why are they suddenly here now?

Update: the new posts have effectively been killed now as an unapproved picture hoster was used and the previews have now been wiped out. 8 hours posting for nothing. He will be pleased.

These recent changes here at FP are just another nail in the coffin and will make this once great forum a deserted place - it will die. But not before the "owner" has made enough $$$ off of it...

Oron is *by far* the weakest file host out there, dl limits, no direct dl's, utterly crappy dl speed etc. etc. etc. - how much did GS actually GET from them for this "decision"?

Fortunately the very structure of the internet allows us to use alternatives. And who thought that sharing eBooks, music, whole DVDs and pr0n would go on forever anyway?
