No offence
just to emphasize this

Looks like there's a way of preventing the Auto Upgrade: "The Auto-Cleanup will also prevent the automatic upgrading of your Hosting-Package."
dead link
Refers to
hosting of files, not to
download-Package
autocleanup is enabled in my account and the package was upgraded automatically to rperday=20 when i exceeded the traffic-limit.
Guess that's what i meant,
userL301 wrote:IMO that is clear (even
) because that makes sense: files, which are deleted on 60 days of inactivity don't need to be kept alife using Rapids.
That's the same like before the changes when files were in a CA or a PA with more than 50GB.
btw. checking "Automatically delete inactive files" seems the only way to "delete" files (without using Rapids for a package wich allows deletion?)
I thought that would be clear - this had been discussed nearly on every page of this thread, that this should be NOT any problem.
I still don't understand why people start deleting files ... maybe it's just moving traffic to another host, where they still get rewards?
Very simple soution if you don't want to think about your hosted files create a free-account without any Rapids and move files there, this way files are still availavle for download without consuming any Rapids for sure.

And it's also possible to auto-downgrade. You can enter your minimum package, and Rapidshare will set you down after 24 hours of an upgrade.
Fine for grabbers. You can choose the minimum with 4 Rapids/day, and only if you download more than 1 GB you will be upgraded and after 24 downgraded.
Obviously it's not clear, what minimum and maximum means
minimum: Your package is this
or HIGER
maximum: Your package is limited to this in upgrades (but afaik NOT downgraded to something lower)

one of my accounts is limitted to 1GB and i get the same message (limited to 5 GB - obviously incorrect
), and my "Traffic left" is nagative.
check what is says there about traffic
https://ssl.rapidshare.com/premzone.html -> Account Overview
and check -> Settings -> Your maximal package:
