Critical database connexion error

Yes Its definately getting worse.

Yesterday I was unable to connect at all in the afternoon.

Took me nearly 7 hours longer than usual last night to log in and stay in. Thankfully it seems better tonight.

You know, I'm not trying to tell anyon what to do with their own forum or space or anything, just stating the facts. If this is how it is going to be, intermittent access, unreliable connections, long upload time for posts, well, I think I'm going ot delete my links and bail out of here. Regardless of the cause, whether a heavy server load, to many leech/users, or sunspots fucking up the server, the new experience is less than satisfying.

there had to be something done.....its is getting harder and harder to get in the front door

I had trouble logging in earlier today. This is the third time. There are three pages of comment and not one word from moderators. Why dont you guys give us a clue as to what is going on?

I must be honest and say: It's free, I know, i cannot complain, but it's starting to piss-me off real good.

Just supposing the forum goes belly up and we lose it then where would we all meet up again???
My view is that this was setup as a publicity/advertising/customer gathering for GS's website and its gradually built up into what it is today...a core of posters and lots of leechers (but some will become posters no doubt) and the leechers then go on to join GS website. So if the forum dies then so does GS advertising. ...so its in his interest to get the thing sorted.....cos if he doesnt then we (posters) will go elsewhere and leave a forum of leechers...with nothing to view...cos we will all kill the rapidshare links wont we...(well I will)!!

So come on GS sort it out....its for YOUR OWN GOOD isnt it????

A final note....I fully understand that no site can have 100% uptime....but no more posting from me until we have had al least 3 days with no downtime....anyone else think same about posting

Geez, I'm glad I'm not the only one frustrated here. I've been trying on and off all day to login and it's just getting rediculious here. If it continues it's gonna cost this site some of the best and dedicated posters, I've seen anywhere. And that would be the biggest shame.

The few times that I have been able to get in (and not for long) there's normally only 10 to 15 registered users on, and 200 to 300 lurkers. That seems to be a problem.

If this continues, perhaps we need to come up with an alternet board to post at, in the event of continued troubles here.

I decided to quit uploading for a while.
Without the connection-errors it's quite a job to make a good post, especially when you do the uploading yourself. Since it looks like this board is dying
( http://www.deathclock.com/ ) slowly, so uploading especially for posting on this board might make no sense.

GS, please, give us some info to what's going on, this used to be a great place to be, but will it last or not?
