In Group D, if Germany win 4-0 against Ghana and Australia win 1-0 against Serbia, Australia and Ghana will be equal on points, goals scored and goals against. Therefore, a COIN TOSS will decide the second team that will go into the round of 16!! I cant believe that such a major tournament would decide a teams fate on a coin toss

Are we watching different world cups? Im beginning to think you began drinking early today! Wink

Im thinking here maybe a 0-0. Against japan, england couldnt score, whilst the japanese scored all 3 goals! Then against algeria they were made to look like my local sunday pub team!

As much as im rooting for england today, i just cant see us getting goals anywhere on the pitch. Rooney is fed up and defoe just doesnt seem to cut it in the big games. In fact, all we hear is rooney this n that, but how about lampard? Id like to see him replaced with gerrard in middle, barry alongside, cole on left, and mmm coin toss for the right side for me.

Good to see upson back in defence though. Carragher is the type of guy who wont let anything past him, players know this so they go around him!

Heres a question (or was it a joke im unsure) i was asked today : -

Who is faster, carragher or a milktruck?

Answer: Depends if the milktruck is on bricks or not

The Germans will definitely win against Ghana this day, cause we have the best trainer in the world:

He knows a lot of useful tricks

screenshot

and he's the best looking trainer in the cup and he irons his shirts himself

screenshot

and he has qualified help. Here he's receiving final instructions from the german Kaiser Franz Beckenbauer ...

and of course he knows a lot about football

and finally he knows how to motivate the players

If this does not convince you, always think of Gary Lineker:
"Football is a simple game; 22 men chase a ball for 90 minutes, and at the end the Germans always win."

Congratulations to the U.S.A. team, the referees stoled them another goal and they were real closed to be eliminated, but in the end they got the first place of their group.

unbelievable game (USA vs. Algeria) Algeria had the chance to take the lead in the first 10 mins, missed a shot off the crossbar.

USA shouldve taken the lead in the first half, but the goal was taken away on a controversial offsides call...

the winner came in the 91st minute off of a beautiful play started by the USA netminder, and was finished by none other than Landon Donovan...

amazing way to cap off the group stage!

Why not? Do you fear losing in penalty shootout? Laughing
