For me it has to be a final of Spain Vs Brazil with Brazil just edging it.

They are the 2 best teams in the world just now and while others like England and Argentina may do quite well neither are good enough to beat Spain or Brazil.

A rank outsider in my opinion to do better than many think - Serbia.

Something to remember is that there is only 1 nation who have ever won the World Cup outside their own continent - Brazil - and they currently have guys like Julio Cesar in goal and Dani Alves and Lucio in their defence who are among the best in the world in their respective positions. Then there's the usual array of awesome midfield & forward players on top of that.

While there's no doubt the current Spanish team are very good indeed I think they'll fall at the final hurdle unfortunately. I know many people in Europe, me included, would LOVE to see them win because of their beautiful football in recent years but I do think they'll narrowly miss out this time.

England will be there as usual whether its quarter or semi finals. I doubt they would make it to the final.

They will be there...sitting in the stands after the first elimination game following group play. Very Happy

Shocked Shocked Shocked Shocked
they normally reach round of 16 then get knock out....will have some issues in qualifying from the grp stages

I think Argentina won't win as they've not won a major trophy in ages and Maradonna as manager wil only hold them back. They play as individuals instead of as a team Shocked

Potentially disastrous news for Ivory Coast as Didier Drogba may have broken his arm and may be out of the tournament.. I thought Ivory Coast could have got to the semis before this, but not now.

Yeah, I read about it earlier that Drogba might be out. Not that big a fan of Ivory Coast but it would have been interesting to see them play.

Incidently, I am not too sure about Spain. They may have one of the best teams right now (and I am rooting for them), but they do have the tendency to fumble.

I'll be interested to see how they get on with this new ball. Could be a high scoring World Cup... hopefully!

Apparently Arjen Robben has a hamstring strain which may keep him out. Drogba had a successful operation on his arm but is still a doubt.

I would expect there to be any more news on that by now. He was checked in a hospital today. One would think they found out something at this time..

Most likely winners for me are Argentina and Spain. I think The Netherlands are the major outsider.

Alot of players getting injured in the build up so far....!
England playing their final game tomorrow against a local South African team, no doubt someone will have an 'injury scare'!

Kind of noticed a string of injuries myself. Overzealous much during the friendlies me thinks.

And more than 1/4 of the German respondents predicting Germany reaching semi finals? Interesting!
