This is a short "How to" about joining video parts with a program called "VirtualDub"
which is a cool program for other things too Smile

Before I start, a short translation. I'm german, so my dialog buttons are in german too.
In some snapshots you have to click on a button "Speichern" that means "Save", in other
you'll see "Öffnen" that means "Open".

Well now let's start...

The official homepage is at: http://www.virtualdub.org
You can download the program at: http://virtualdub.sourceforge.net

At the moment you can download a stable v1.5.10 and an experimental v1.6.1.
I choose the stable v1.5.10 for this "How to"

After downloading, make a folder where you want to copy the contents of
the VirtualDub zip file and unzip all files into.

Then start the program "VirtualDub.exe".

This is how VirtualDub looks like:

Because you checked "Automatically load linked segments", you selected files 001 upto 010 here.
You can see it at the status line at the bottom:

You can see, VirtualDub appended 10 segments (001-010) to part 000.
Now you have to click on "Video" and have to choose "Direct stream copy":

When it's finished, you will have a joined avi which contains parts 000 upto 010.

Now sometimes later you maybe get another 4 parts (011-014).
You can now append them to the joined file the same way as before.

You select the joined file:
