Again choose "Direct stream copy" in the video and audio menu.
Then again click on "File" and on "Save as AVI..."
Choose a new name for the joined file.
And wait until the VirtualDub has joined the parts.

Everytime a new part was published you can add it to your joined file... Smile

There is one problem, when the parts have a different audio sampling rate you can't join them together.

You first have to change the sampling rate for every single part. If all parts have the same rate, you can join them as before.

I do it in two steps. First I join those video parts which have the same sampling rate as the first part.
Then I join those parts which have the other sampling rate.

This was covered before, so here I will change the sampling rate of one the two joined parts, so that they have
the same rate. Let's assume we have joined the Sophie video parts to two joined parts.
The first part has a sampling rate of 11025 Hz and the second one of 8000 Hz.

Now open the second video (that with 8000 Hz):

Now choose "Full processing mode" in the audio menu:

In the following dialog box choose the correct sampling rate. That would be the sampling rate of the first
part (11025 Hz) and click on OK:

Again choose a new name in the "Save as AVI..." dialog:

After VirtualDub has finished processing the second part. You can now join part 1 and 2, now both with
a sampling rate of 11025 Hz as before.

Hope this small tutorial helps Smile

You're very welcome Exclamation
Thanks für your nice words. Smile

It's funny, I couldn't join two series, I think Sophie and Silvia, because
of the different sampling rates. Now when I wrote the tutorial, I
remembered the problem and found a solution for me too Very Happy

Thanks Callahan.

For some bizarre reason, I can't view the TF avi clips in Mediaplayer without losing a fair chunk of the front-end of each clip.

BTW, I have tons of avi videos from other sites, and only the TF clips behave in this manner

I'll try this AVI splicing program

Shocked

Outstanding reference material. Good job!

One question though?

Does that work with Mac?
