Why is this so important? This is not the first time you've asked about Usenet.
We won't stop you if you say you get your content from Usenet,
but you can't go into specifics.
Esteban - the admin of Forumophilia - has explained why:

And I really see no point why we should discuss newsgroups, newsreaders, NZB files or how Usenet works in general. There are other places for that already. Those who are interested can google it for more information.
We're working on some rule amendments right now. Usenet is one of the things that will be covered by those.

"Why is this so important?"... Because, it's the greatest source of content out there. I'd say it's a very safe bet that most of the content in this forum was downloaded first from the usenet. Maybe not by the member posting it here, but can be traced back to the usenet. If every member learned how to use it, and it has to be shown to you step by step- there's just no way it can be learned by reading instructions somewhere, then the amount of material here would start growing exponentially. That's the place to go for upload material- good
quality untouched content.
I don't know. Just seems a shame that so few ppl know about it...comparatively speaking that is. Plus, it's lawfull. If it wasn't, isps' wouldn't be allowed to offer access to it.
Believe me when i say that i'm only thinking of the forum here. My motivation is lots and lots of good quality content in the future. Even more than is available now... if you can belive that! lol. I'm not saying i'm not happy with the content already in the forum, ok. Quite the opposite. I just like to make great things even greater, if i have the means to do so.
