DAMN it really torques my shaft when I see some bozo's taking content and rapidshare links from other sites posting them here and taking credit for the post. I'm not going to say any particular users names but lets just say it's obvious. I'm watching this guy build his post count.

I know there are several other people who have do this as well I just think it's total bull crap.

Be original. I can say everything I have uploaded has come off of my harddrive and been uploaded by me to rapidshare.

to be frank, i avoid any post with rapidshare - most of the time i cant make it work - it usually asks me to down load it, or the page doesnt work. Im sure im missing loads of great posts, but as far as im concerned, rapidshare can fuck off - i just wanted to get the lowdown on who are the bad boys of the forum!

Well, I use rapidshare because it's free and I can upload to it easily. I download my fairshare too. It works for me well except for the time you have to wait between downloads. I'm not about to pay them for it.

jk but I do have a question. Does it make a difference if a person re-upload something then posts different links? I mean, it's a waste of time, but would that make people happy, you think?

Just wondering. I've done that before, but then there were a few times when I just didn't want to take the time, y'know. Never try take the credit though.

OK, think about it this way. All the same lame videos floating around the net. Usually people visit more than one forum site like this on a regular day. I stop in about 10 different sites in an hour to see what's new. Well come to find out people are just reposting the same shit from other sites. It gets really boring to see the same BS over and over.

Then you have lamers taking credit for some one elses work.

I could repost the same BS here and just run my post count up real fast too. But that wouldn't accomplish anything. Yea the new people would get some stuff they had not seen but everyone else get the same crap.

This $hit has gotten so out of hand now that a guy has nearly 100 pages of crossposted links. WTF!

This site has taken a HUGE DIVE into the CRAPPER. The worst part is the Mods all thank him for doing it too. Give me a break! They encourage this behavior and it continues to get worse.

What began as a minor problem has now turned into a massive problem. Well, I consider it a problem. If anything create a new section that is for this very thing.

Cross posted links section. This way people know that anything in this section is hijacked, or stolen from another site.

Something needs to be done and done soon.

Welcome to my world. Thank you for also being annoyed by link nicking. I became so frustrated that my links, that is right they are mine. I upd them I posted them they are mine. Were being reposted in some questionable places, I pulled them down and as of course they were still taking hits so I killed them.
I do believe that if the second hand poster has permision from the original poster it is okay. So perhaps their is more to the story.
As one that derives pleasure from sharing, I do not understand why the originator wouldn't just come on board and post themselves. Though time constraints or a general I dont care attitude may be a fator.
Before another witch hunt begins, I ask please, just Pm the person you are referring to. Not everything needs to be in open forum.
You have no idea how hard that was to write, I am so displeased with the actions of the someones/s that have not the common courtesy to respect the wishes of the original poster. They get something for nothing and still are not satisfied.

To be fair, it's not as if the material is actually ours in the first place. We didn't shoot the pics or videos ourselves. So, I wouldn't worry about it that much.

While I only post "my own" stuff, I definitely don't mind the leeching and reposting threads. All it does it make it easier to come to this ONE SITE and find a lot of stuff to download. Personally I don't want to visit 10 different sites in an hour trying to find new stuff.

Post away, I say. If you don't like it, then don't visit certain threads. It's not too hard to figure out which ones repost.

Bottom line: It's free porn. I'll never complain about any of it.
