In 1976, I bought Aerosmith Rocks at Licorice Pizza, an old record chain now closed. I still absolutely love that record, now have the CD...

Remember the old days ..... in 1980 I bought my first record, "Maledetta primavera" from the italian singer and actrice Loretta Goggi. I think that most of you don't know her?

The reason why I bought this record is easy: in the summer holidays in Italy with my parents I heard this song very often and I liked it. And this was the beginning of my "love" for the italian rock- and popmusic of hte 80ies and the 90ies...

The soundtrack to Batman & Robin, the only good thing about that movie. It also led to me liking the Smashing Pumpkins. Which blows considering they were at the end of their run.

I first heard and fell in love with Smashing Pumkins in '92 after hearing them for the first time on the "Singles" soundtrack. "Drown" was the song.

I just re-watched this movie a couple months ago with my new girl.

I'm not even sure. Once I started buying records I was buying them every time I had any spare money. I'd go without something I actually needed so I could buy a record I wanted. It could have been Dark Side of the Moon. I was into that kind of stuff back then and I still love that record.

I'm pretty sure my first record was a 45 single after getting my first "close and play" record player. "Hot Rod Lincoln". Well before my time but at age 8, it was the coolest record I knew other than "Purple People Eater". I believe my first album was Aerosmith's "Toys In The Attic".

My first 45 was Monster by Steppenwolf because I liked it from hearing it on the radio. The flip side was a song called Berry Rides Again which for some unknown reason I somehow remembered when I was thinking of the A side.

First LP was probably the Rolling Stones' Through The Past Darkly (a best of with stuff like Paint It Black, Ruby Tuesday, Jumpin' Jack Flash and Honky Tonk Women on it) but it also might have been The Who's Live At Leeds. I should still have one and maybe both tucked away in storage.

I bought a ton of cassette tapes. I think they're in a couple of boxes in the basement. I only play digital music now.

Some bubblegum 45 was first, but this was my first serious disc. Liked 'em then and still do.
