I don't remember the first album "I" bought. But my parents bought me the Partridge Family-Family Album....hey I was 8 and I liked them. When they bought me my first stereo for X-mas, I got Beach Boys-Endless Summer, Beach Boys-Spirit Of America, and Elton John-Captain Fantastic.

my first album purchases were at a church rummage sale.

for ten cents each, I bought "The Ventures In Space", and a Hanna-Barbera record of SuperSnooper and BlabberMouse in "Monster Shindig".
Both records seriously shape my listening tastes to this very day.

First single I can remember buying was "Monster Mash".
The first album I actually bought at retail was Queen's "A Night at the Opera"

That's the shop with the big statue of Jimi Hendrix above the entrance, right? Gotta love Rolling Stone Records. I got lost driving around Chicago one night back in 1996, and ended up at RSR, where I stayed until about 3:00 AM, agog at the incredible selection of Obscure CDs. I ended up blowing most of my vacation money there. Among my finds were four Flat Duo Jets CDs I didn't even know existed. Also found some HTF Mekons records.

Another record shop I have to stop at whenever I'm in the area is Amoeba Records on Haight in San Francisco. Their USED CD section alone is twice the size of the best record store here at home's ENTIRE selection.

My first was Iron Maiden The Number of the Beast back in 1983. A friends older brother was listening to this music while smoking pot. My brother and I really got into this type of music. We both really enjoyed Black Sabbath which led us to Ozzy Osbourne.

just going thru my most recent thrift-store vinyl finds. I got an almost-new condition copy of Ventures in Space to replace my old worn-out copy. It'll be nice to hear it on vinyl again, after about five years of only hearing it ripped into MP3 format.

Don't know anymore as far for records cauz when I've
started to listening music there weren't CD's out yet.
I used to record my songs of the radio to tape.

But my first CD was a so called maxi-single of KrisKross.
The song was "jump". I've bought this CD when I was
about 12years old and didn't even own a CD-player
cauz they were kinda expensive at this time.
Now I have about close to 900 original CD-albums.
No copies, all bought. It was a kinda hobby of mine
and I've worked as DJ somewhen in my past.

Well, anyway...I've scanned the cover of my first CD
extra for ya dickheads just 5 minutes ago.
Here it is:
