Sprint, Samsung. Always have the flip-open ones because the others always dial people and waste my minutes.

I'm with AT&T and have a cheapo black Samsung flip phone. I don't have the model number right in front of me, but it does everything I really need to have it do. And I like the flip phone design. Mine spends a lot of time in my pocket and that design keeps it from dialing by accident. I also think the design is cool.

Samsung 950 flip. Had it well over two years, still going strong, even the battery performance is about 80% of the original strength. I'll be getting a fancy one in the future, still don't need more phone right now though. Loyal Verizon customer since 1996, hooked on the coverage.

old phones seem to be so much sturdier.

however, a lot of contracts allow you to "upgrade" every two years. even if you didn't want it, you could extend your contract and get a discounted/free phone and sell it

I am hell on phones breaking them about every 6 months.

I'm going to look at the new Motorola Tundra (SP) when it comes out for AT&T on the 16th
