Actually, I discovered this morning that NBC's olympic web site is carrying a lot of live video here:

It's pretty good, but you have to DL the new MS Silverlight, which almost made me take a pass. I hate frigging MS, and in the settings they brazenly admit that they are collecting all sorts of info on you, your hardware and software configuration, etc. But since you have no choice if you are a big Olympics fan...not much you can do.
Can't wait until tonight for the first Michael Phelps final.
Bit of a depressing day for the Olympics overall, though. Bernie Mac dying unexpectedly. Some Chinese nut stabbing 3 people (one dead so far, the father of a former US Olympian and father-in-law of the current US men's volleyball coach) before attempting a forward two-and-a-half off a building. And in the true Olympic spirit, Georgia and Russia deliberately using the world's attention elsewhere to start a war. (Georgia has formally declared war and admitted it waited for the Olympics to start so that it's attack would be a surprise.) Thanks losers!
The Republic of Georgia and whatever the Hell Russia is calling itself now should both be banned from competition until they enact a cease-fire. Deliberately starting a war during the Games is unconscionable.
