I suspect they get some form of compensation for the modeling job, whether it's money or food. I don't think they are so unfortunate as they appear to keep thier bodies in decent condition.

That said, it is NOT unheard of for the "creator" or "photographer" to house the models. In fact, that could very well be how they are compensated. They are simply, cared for: Shelter, Food, clothes.

Also, alot of models (that I knew) rather enjoyed the attention. It;s like "woreship" on a small level. They get all the attention that they missed, etc in that short period of time. However, that's taking a rather psychiatric point of view....
