First off, I never step foot in here but I was curious about a post that has disappeared and thought this would be a good place to check. Well, then I saw this post by my esteemed collegue and newest bestest friend
and had to chime in.
Yes, yes, Y-E-S! My most heartiest congrats to the NEW YORK GIANTS! My team indeed. I will humbly eat a little crow here because there are few out there that were louder in their Eli, Coughlin & Gilbride bashing.
As late as the Buffalo game I was killing them all: Eli can't play in bad weather, will never win me a SB, Gilbride calls a shit game, Coughlin needs to be replaced. Well, at that point the team had already surpassed my expectations (5-11/6-10), but I still wanted Cowher at that point. Can't tell you how pleased I am to be completely wrong!
Alas, it's a wonderful time to be a NYG fan and to see Brady a "skunkbear" (wolverine - that's what we Notre Dame fans call Michigan (SUCKS!)), it was doubly sweet. Although Charlie taught him to be the winner he is, it's still making me smile ear to ear. The great Justin Tuck (ND) planted him plenty of times...
Was a bit tough knowing that Belichick was the DC for the other Giant triumphs and I will always be a fan of his regardless of what anyone says - his defense helped in '86 and '90 - thanks Bill.
Moving on:

Hmmm, seems that someone is listening to a little too much of that idiot on the FAN. Man, I can't stand him. Won't he just die already?!
OK, that was crass and uncalled for but he is completely unlistenable - kind of like EsPN is unwatchable (Small "s" to denote their focus being more on Entertainment rather than sports).
As for baseball I do follow the Mets and I blame my father exclusively for he brought me to my first game at Shea. I was young and impressionable and they've been my team for decades. I am not a bandwagon type so I have to man up and accept the misery!
So, I've given you a little look inside as you did in my post
Cheers matey, what a glorious time to know that arguably the greatest play in Super Bowl history lead to the winning touchdown and deny Perfection.
