Hi Wraith - thanks for taking a look.

http://www.jpghosting.com/ to be investigated as an approved image hoster.
I've been using it for 3 years and found it very reliable and fast. One of the best things about it is that it allows direct linking within IMG tags so you aren't **** just to use thumbs with links to view the images on the host site like so many hosters, eg. Imagevenue.
Another bonus is it is really fast, much, much faster than almost any hoster I've seen or used. You can also upload images in a zip file which really saves time.

Unlucky that you had a problem. I very rarely have problems with accessing the site. In comparison many many times I used the FTP upload feature of imagevenue and after waiting for the upload to finish the site then failed to give me the links. jpghosting has always been much more reliable - that's why I started using it and pay the £1 month fee, I wouldn't pay if it wasn't more relaible and quicker to mass upload (upload a zip of pics rather than using FTP).
mattstan wrote:Non-registered users have a limit of 5 images per day, beyond that it has a small fee, £1 month unlimited pic hosting, £0.50 300 images a day, or £0.25 100 images a day. I have unlimited and think it's a small price to pay for such an excellent host and it's a lot cheaper than rapidshare.
wraith wrote:This, however, makes me less enthusiastic about it, even if it were working, however. I assume those are limits on uploads, not downloads (a download limit is an instant showstopper for a place hosting previews), but it's also the only pic host we'd have on our list with a pay limit like that. I'm not sure if we should be endorsing that design for our preview hosts, though of course I'm not the mod responsible for adding to the list.
There's no download limit. I agree jpghosting is of limited benefit unless you subscribe. But I don't think it should be discounted just because it is a subscriber service. Rapidshare, megaupload, etc. are endoursed and they are feature limited to non-members. Most (or at least a hell of a lot) of forumophilia users have a rapidshare account. I'm not saying that our forum members should be encouraged to use jpghosting.com but that it should be a site that can be used by members who wish to pay the modest fee (as little as 10% of rapidshare's cost) and those of us who already use it can continue to do so (that's my principal concern by the way, me being able to continue to use it).
Thanks and regards,
mattstan
