haha, and before i read this thread, i thought it was because they finally fixed my internet connection i've seriously been limping around at like 1mbit speeds for a week...and then suddenly bumped back to 10

Well, so much for the speed improvement. We are back to the old speed today. I timed the server response.
One minute, thirty seconds to login.
Two minutes to view "General Chat" the first time.
One minute, ten seconds to return to the Index.
One minute, forty seconds to view "Chat" the second time.
One minute, forty seconds to view the headers in "Pic Post".
Less than 20 seconds to view a text-only post with one reply. <<< Yippee!

This has become a waste of my time. I'm sorry.

I'll check again in a couple of weeks.

I'd rather be posting....
