I searched for awhile for a program that would do what you are asking for free...but I could not find anything I really liked. I eventually broke down and got the "Easy Video Joiner". It is a really easy to use and reliable program. I do believe they have a free trial...so you could use it for a little bit, anyway. Good Luck!

I use this to split vids Mr Orange. It doesn't do anything fancy. Just splits them into as many pieces as you want.
