Subject: Rapidshare's New Codes
Anyone else having trouble reading the new characters they switched to for the downloading codes? Sometimes I have to try 2 or 3 times. They are also using both O & 0 now.
Sure am!!What are they up to?Also having problems connecting--all today have been trying to download and keep getting messages that i am already downloading or have reached my limit when i haven't even managed to download anything!!bring on megaupload!!
Their site is now using about 250 to 500 different fonts sets, with each of the four symbols used in any given code-box having been chosen dynamically in a helter-skelter manner from their fonts sets each time that a user visits their site to download a file.
The least they could do is omit those 'funny' fonts that are included in their fonts collection, and rely only upon those fonts sets that are easily recognized. As the old saying goes, they are cutting off their nose to spite their face.
that's part of a subtle technique to push you towards buying a membership to their Premium Account ... you'll see even more troubles in the near future for free downloads and uploads ...
I had an S that really just looked like a 5! And an N that looked like a russian P! And then by the time you figure it out on some of them (at least on my slow connection) the session has expired! And sometimes I just get a message right away that the session is invalid. What is this for this anyways? To keep someone from running a program that downloads all of their files? Or just to get people to sign up?
Ok this one really pissed me off! I still have no idea what it is because I gave up after 4 tries! I tried se34, 5e34, 8e34, seb4, and actually now after looking at it again maybe it was just se3!
