What is the meaning of life?

Are you serious or are you just asking?

If you mean by function, then in my opinion it is:

1. To procreate.
2. To better "conditions" for the next generation.

These two conditions are essential to the continuing existence and
proliferation of life.

(1) All living things must procreate or they become extinct. Plants animals
and humans.

(2)If "conditions" (society, environment, ethics and morality, our ability to
get along ect..) get worse with each generation, then things will surely
reach the point where extinction again occurs.

If you mean metaphysically, as in who put us here and for what
reason, then that may be a subjective topic for religious debate.
It is sort of like asking, "who were Gods parents? Or, there had to be a
beginning, so what was the beginning that started that?
These things may well be beyond human comprehension.

Stephen Hawkings has stated we will never be able see what existed
before the "big bang" since all matter at that time was condensed into a
tiny speck, so origins prior to that will always remain an elusive mystery.

Seriously...the meaning of life is different for everyone.

For me it's live it as well as you can and have as many offspring as you can to keep your family lineage continuing on and on.

However, things change when you take a metaphysical approach or Theological approach, etc.

Instead of asking "Whats the meaning of life", ask yourself "Whats a life of meaning".

It hurts to love someone
and not be loved in return,
but what is most painful is to love someone
and never finding the courage to let the
person know how you feel.

Maybe God wants us to meet
a few wrong people
before meeting the right one
so that when we finally
meet the right person,
we should know how to be grateful for that gift.

Love is when you take away the feeling,
the passion, the romance -
and you find out you still care for that person.

A sad thing about life
is when you meet someone
that means a lot to you,
only to find out in the end,
that it was never bound to be
and you just have to let go.

When one door of happiness closes,
