I guess there's not a snowball's chance in hell that this will ever happen, they
want you to buy a premium.

So are RS and MU - they make their living with pay subscribers. But they just manage it differently in a more balanced way. I have been for long a non-RS user after that in their early days I just found their free download volume so ridiculiously low that I was ignoring any RS link but with time they changed and I started to use them again.
Now some have to think about the deletion policy of a file hoster. If they do so, this is with good reason even if sometimes they do it abusively or inadequately. They just want to avoid to face legal problem.
And as any reputable company I don't see how any file hoster can keep going storing and distributing copyrighted material without removing it on copyright holder request? Once the company is aware of the copyright nature of the stored file its responsability is engaged but is there a way to remain above the law?
I guess that one day or another all these happy uploader will have to face with their mass distribution to be removed or fear that their personal info to be transmitted to justice depending on the country law.
You have to remember that RS do what they legaly can to protect privacy of theirs users/clients but at least in one case they had to comply with a justice request and that led toward a personal pursuit. And I don't know any company that can escape this - this is just a matter of time.
