killing all uploaded pictures - announced or not - was a bad idea...anyone thought of topics with lot of pages 
my thread is now over 200 pages, some links are killed by rs because of unuse...i don´t think anyone here would search for 2000 something post an reupload on any image hoster, it´s a pity
even now it is not possible to attach previews to the posts on this url, and on the different image hosters the lasting of the pix is not as long as it was on the old, great forum...
so, not only rs did changes which are not lucky, even the admins here did so.
but thats not all, before the changes i had not to log in every time i opened this page, that and the other changes hurt
hope, it will get better, otherwise i have to say goodbye.......so long

When you have entered your data, you have to also put a tic in the little box next to the line: "Log me on automatically each visit:"
Then you should be automatically logged in at your next visit.
Works for me.

So Good Samaritan has decreed that rapidshare is now banned

Frankly I think the way these major changes are being leaked in obscure threads without properly announcing them in the rules, or giving any explanation, is extremely amateurish. Do the mods even know this change yet? Why not just make one big announcement and rules update when things have been decided? Are we all to be punished for using RS from this moment on if we didn't happen to see a post in "General Chat"?
Why is it banned? I can't see any logical reason for banning RS outright. As the only people using RS now are those willing to pay for storage, I'd have thought that was a guarantee of some quality uploads. I reckon the wave of account deletions for big posters is probably gone now that they've ditched rewards and introduced the new membership/pricing model as a sop to the entertainment industry.
I've been here since near the start in 2004, but what the future holds I really don't know.

I don't either - I just tried posting, and the "word censor" caught the RS URL, that's how I learned about it. I've got tons of stuff there I haven't posted here yet and enough "rapids" to last for ten years. I really don't feel like moving everything to a new file host and starting over.

i´m not blind or stupid, but that doesn´t work for me!

But sometimes the most obvious is the answer.
The other thing that comes to my mind is if you have changed any settings.
Allowing cookies or updated/changed your browser.
I can't acces the forum with FireFox.
Have to use IE.
