An important announcement!

An important announcement.

I have an announcement to make. I’m going to work on improving our forum and optimizing its structure. This means that some significant changes are coming. Some sections will be removed while other sections will be added. We are facing a few problems with the forum structure that at this moment is very inefficient and puts unnecessary strain on our servers. We are going to change that and I should inform you that all post attachments will be deleted in about two weeks. You need to save them on your hard drives or upload them somewhere for safekeeping until further notice.

nice to hear that the forum is going to be optimized.
but all my download links in all my threads are in the attachments. this means that 2236 working links will be dead. the attachments will be gone forever?

what else can I do to save my threads from dying?

I dont see any future in posting here when all my threads (and all my links which I reuploaded & reuploaded to keep all links online) are dead

Only files uploaded to forumophilia.com will be removed. You posts are going to be alive and well, don’t worry. We will only remove the attachments (files) uploaded to our forum.

ok, looks that the most posts of me have no future. i don't have enough time to change all the previews in my posts (most time attachments).
the funny thing is.. i use the attachment function to become new members for this forum (please login to see the preview/attachment) and now i become ~2000 posts without previews?

I have to admit, I'm not totally happy with what happend.
There are three things that imo (!) made Forumophilia pretty pointless:

• new sub forums / categories, with much less organization (vids + pics mixed together etc)
• Rapidshare has become unusable, so uploads in the next weeks are gonna be spread over many filehosters – where I can't buy a premium account on every site
  
• attachments get deleted soon, I guess about half of the old threads will become useless within seconds
  

I know that the problem with RS is in no way the fault of Forumophilia, but I liked this forum because it was 99% only ONE hoster… now it will be at least three or more mainly used hosters.
And I also know that some of the changes may be necessary and there are no technical ways to avoid them (attachments).
I just wanted to post my opinion, as I'm a little bit frustrated – I mean, I've been a big fan of this board and I thought I will stay here forever (or till I find such a stunning girlfriend that she makes porn redundant )

I think it is a BAD IDEA to have all that external links here.

Every picture does have a track back to this board. So I expect next kill session soon.

This board is great, but it is not the only one...

We were all fucked by RS and now this forum is changing.

Look, all change is hard in life and in cyberlife too.... just roll with the flow and be patient. This will fall into place in a short while afterwards.

I quite like the new layout, a lot of the sections seem to make a lot more sense.

Why not wait and see what the new format is, most of my previews are in attachments (uploaded to the forum) so I guess I'll have to re-up previews
to either external host or see if there will be a new way to host pics here.

As for rapidshare I think what is happening is it is turning into a pay to download site, I haven't tried to download anything free since I have a premium account. Anyone know if the free download is still avavilable on rapidshare?

I haven't posted any links on this board so I don't know if my opinion will hold much weight, but...


1.) I personally prefer picture sets. Because of this I usually checked out the former picture section while I skipped the video section.

If these sections are going to be combined I (& other people, who might also prefer picture sets, or the opposite, only like videos) will have a much harder time finding what they want.


2.) What is softcore & what is hardcore?

I've seen people labeling girls playing with a toy as hardcore, but I've also seen people labeling it as softcore. The same applies to lesbian porn.

I'm afraid a lot of people won't know where to post their sets/videos anymore.


3.) Other sections still exist.

I'm talking about the lesbian pics & videos & the ethnic forum. IMHO these two sections shouldn't exist (although it might only be a matter of time before they're removed).

A girl with a certain ethnicity who only poses nude goes in the softcore section, but a similar girl doing HC goes into the ethnic section. What if she does a lesbian shoot/video?
