So... what can i say?
México was having a great game untill the refeeres fucked things up. They saw their mistake and did nothing. Mexico went crazy and then cracked whit Osorio's incredible mistake.
That said, i think it was a very good game. Now germans know Argentina is not really thaaaat good, Messy was neutralized. Just keep an eye on Tevez.
Go Deutschland!

I didn't see the Holland game but sounded like Robben was back to his best...

Would be a cracking game against Brazil (if they win tonight!)

utter dominance by Brasil. 3 - 0 victory over Chile... no contest.

If they keep playing like this, i think they have a GREAT chance of winning it all

what are your predictions for spain/portugal?

you think theyre going to go to pk's? personally i dont think thats going to happen, just throwing it out there due to the draw earlier.

im thinking a 2-1 PORTUGAL victory... Spain hasnt shown me what theyre capable of... and i think theyre overrated

Brazil looked great tonight. They made my prediction for a Chile victory look rather foolish.

Yesterday, the better teams did win, but the better teams don't always win and no one knows what would have happened if the refs had made the right calls in both matches. Germany is clearly a better team than England, but at 2-2, you never know what could happen. A lucky bounce, a bad clearing, or another ref blunder and England could have won. Either they need instant replay, or a goal judge. The soccer pitch is massive, so why not have a guy at each end watching the net?

its all about money.

the game of futbol is a business... what fifa has to pay each official for each game is money that they dont get... they being the teams, and the organization itself.

while it may seem like it should be simple to get 2 more people to strictly watch the goal line, it is technically the line judges' job to call that goal if it's close.

when it all comes down to it, FIFA doesnt want to taint the game by implementing new technologies...but basically theyre just cheap...

I don't think it's a matter of being cheap, but football is the most successful game in the world and they don't want to change it. Part of the appeal of football is that it doesn't stop and start and if you bring technology in to review decisions, then in the future it will stop for penalty decisions, offsides, red-cards and a game will end up taking 3 hours.
