seems to be going downhill

they no longer are using models

girls are not what they used to be - its a site down by women for women in my opinion - even thought lots of guys subscribe but i think the demos are changing

the vids are boring - girls just talk and sit down and start masturbating.

they do occassionally have creative multi girl vids but i wish they could spend more to get pretty models - they used to be alot better

too bad

I don't think you understand the ethos of the site. This from Wikipedia:

"The website features female models from ages 18 to 25. Most models have not appeared in pornography before. The site does not feature models with surgically enhanced breasts, models wear little makeup, and often have a full patch of pubic hair, in addition the photo's themselves are not retouched in any way. The women begin the shoots wearing their own clothes and underwear, which they gradually shed, and are photographed in their own homes and bedrooms and/or in outdoor settings. Most appear in both still photos and videos. As of 2009 there were 1200 models featured on the site, with more than 370,000 images and almost 4000 videos. It has been praised for portraying a more realistic depiction of sex than most pornography".

A similar ethos is shared by three other Australian sites. Ifeelmyself, Ishotmyself and Beautiful agony. All these three sites share the same pool of models (they call them "contributors") as AbbyWinters but there is no connection between them and AbbyWinters.

yes, i understand all this

but it seems they accept just about any girl that applies.

they are having trouble finding cute girls - site used to have lots of cute girls

maybe all the bad publicity hurt the site awhile back (they were raided by officials - not sure what happened)

There was some kind of a legal problem, a raid on G Media which produces the site. Maybe this scared off some talent?

Another possibility: the economy. My impression was that they got their girls from various European tourists and locals . . . who found themselves needing a bit of cash. My guess is that they've got fewer backbackers from Sweden these days, and they may well pay less generously

The difference between "we pay $800 for a photoshoot" and "we pay $200 for a photoshoot" has a big impact on the quality of the girls you'll see.

I'm on a forum where we've had direct contact with a representative of AW. It's the opinion of several members of the forum that Abby's has, indeed, become boring. Our biggest complaint is that the photo sets have the models clothed until the last few pictures in a set and the videos save the skin for the last few minutes of a 15 - 20 minute video. Their representative insists that this is "the tease factor" and, as was mentioned here, also due to the fact that there are a lot of new models. While I think everyone respects their concept of not pushing the girls into doing anything they're not comfortable with, at the same time, the models they do have aren't producing the content people have come to expect from the site.

The forum on their site is another factor that was brought up. Where it was once open and friendly, it's become very cliquish - with members coming down hard on the slightest criticism of the site.

I also think they lost a lot of members when they split the site into three parts. From a business standpoint, it made sense to the operators since there was an absolutely huge amount of material being downloaded from their servers everyday. But, to an individual, joining all three sites is now expensive. Someone not interested in joining all three sections still finds theirself shelling out money for an update schedule that is no longer daily - something AW always had in the past.

Add all that to something that may, or may not, be tied to their legal troubles, and the site is definitely not what it used to be.

They seem to have fallen into a rut and lost their creativity. But that isn't unusual and other sites will fill the void left by a declining AW.

3 site approach was a huge mistake

less content more quality should have been the way to go.

i was a longstanding member awhile back and wish it would return to its roots.

how much do they pay models?

I was a three-time member there myself, and I couldn't agree with you more. But they can't concede that even one thing is seriously wrong with the site. If you'd seen how their representative handled all the comments about "the tease factor" being a joke, you'd get the feeling that change isn't likely. Their mind is made up and it'll just continue as it is.

its a site run by women who are all lesbians

they try to market to men but its so obvious that content is for lesbians even though the lesbian market is not lucrative.

dude.

no....just no.

Fake, mainstream porn is unappealing to a larger portion of the male population than most like to admit.

The site is owned and operated by G Media, which also operates GMBill, its payment service. Garion Hall is the CEO of all three companies. Garion Hall is not a woman.

There is also a lot of debate as to whether Abby Winters actually exists or if it's just, as the popular opinion seems to see it, a pseudonym for Mr. Hall.

Go back to my post on October 29th. I wish I could post the link to the other forum so you could see what all we confronted them with. Several of us tried to hammer the point home that way too many picture sets and videos were saving the skin until the very end. But, They insist that it's the tease factor. It seems there are a lot of people who purchase memberships (and used to purchase memberships!) who don't agree with that.

Unfortunately, you can't tell a business how to run their company. The choice is up to them. They can continue as they are and lose income (which they'd probably never admit is actually happening), or listen to their customers and go back to the product that worked.

they need to simply let the girls frolick around fully nude more

thats the secret

bunch of females making the decisions -

a decision to tease is made by women, they the the video work and hire models that are more desirable to lesbians i guess

its turned into a truly boring unattrative site

owners are just milking the membership and growth is likely slowly and probably in decline
