Subject: rented has audio commentary but can't hear the actual movie
gentlemen: I rented movie called "The Other lives of Others" and when trying to play the movie on my DVD player, I got only an "Audio commentary" about the movie? The people talking in the movie were blocked out just the commentary was on audio. I would like to view and hear he actual movie WITHOUT the commentary. What is the fix for this? Ron
Hi Ron,
Try looking for a button on the remote marked audio and cycle through the different tracks, alternately, the menu button can be used to access the menu area on the DVD where you should be able to choose different audio tracks.
What your hearing sounds like what is usually referred to as the "directors commentary"
It shouldn't play the audio commentary by default. It could be a glitch in the DVD disc. Fonzz's tips should help, but if there is only one audio track available, then there is something wrong with the DVD and you should take it back. I've never heard of the audio commentary playing by default.
