And I believe 2 years is the minumum for you to be married , for her to get citezenship.

i totally agree with mm and contractor.iv known 2 guys burned here in the states.its all about the money,one guy was out $600.the other burned for $1,500.an those 2 were the lucky ones,there were rumors of guys getting taken for alot more.this was the cost to get them to the states.both these guys sent me the correspondence exchanged an the pics,these women sent...all i can say is buyer beware.secondly,when the guys stopped talking with these women.an agency rep contacted them.that reeks of pimp-n to me...anyway be very careful-mikesinner.

I don't know how the immigration system works in the USA, but couldn't she enter on a student visa? Once she's in the country she could start making money. From my former contacts with exotic dancers (purely for research purposes of course ), it seems they make their money cash in hand and work permits don't appear to be necessary.

Like I said, I don't know how things work in the USA but getting her in as a student seems a better option than marrying her. Imagine if you marry her and then one day when you come from work she's gone and all your valuables are missing.

Mike, let me tell you of my experience an dyou can take it for what it's worth. I had a Filipina live-in GF who worked as a dancer. The cops visited the place one night, and since her English wasn't very good and she had an accent, they asked for her papers, which were in order. However, their incident report went to INS, since she was a resident alien, and INS started eportation proceedings immediately, since she was employed in a sex related industry. Her happy ass was out of the country in less than two weeks.

If your little friend was found to working in similar circumstances, she would be arrested for not having the proper work permits, and promptly scheduled for deportation.

I don't know about the US policies since I'm not there but it does sound like a potential disaster for you. A girl sweet-eyes a guy for help and then disappears after getting it.

As a Roumanian she shouldn't find too much difficulty in working in Germany or Holland where the money is a lot better. Holland should be good as most people speak English and they are quite relaxed about what can be done. If she is serious about moving then it would be a good place for her to go to. Learn the language and a little Dutch history and then she can get Dutch nationality. With that she can go anywhere - there's no problem with being Dutch around the world.

Don't be fooled by what seems to be a genuine girl trying to improve her life at your expense. Although I've not been dupped, I have known of others who have taken on girl in similar situations and been left out of pocket (and romance) when she decides to go elsewhere. If she was really serious she would save her earnings to make her break.
