Anime porn: thoughts, feelings

I'm a very casual fan of the genre, but I would be a lot bigger fan if not for the many problems with the genre. I love the animation and the high quality of most of it (better than Anime tv series, for the most part), but I don't like the whole **** fantasy deal, and I really don't like scat (bathroom stuff). I think it's disgusting and not the least bit erotic. What are your feelings about the genre? Hate it? Love it? Both love and hate it like me?

I have no interest whatsoever and have never watched any!

Obviously, I'm a fan of it. I see it more as art than as porn and I'm also a big fan of pin-up art and WWII nose art. Like you I tend to stay away from subjects that are too weird.

I'm a fan as well but I gotta agree that the scat stuff and **** scenes are a bit much sometimes. The fans of hentai seem to get their rocks off on it though, otherwise it wouldn't be so prevalent

It seems like 95% of it involves some form of **** fantasy, and the other 5% is usually boring and dull. I like the animation, but the subject matter... not so much.

Here's a couple of examples of what I like.

I enjoy the late 80s to mid 90s adult anime. It had a plot and wasnt so means spirited as it is nowadays. Also, the whole harem concept has ruined all branches of anime and i am sick of it.
In hentai all the harems work like this.
Guy moves into place with girls A, B, C and D
Guy fucks girl D because she is the slutty bitch, and then girl B the loli one
Guy fucks girl C, girl A who he loves sees it, Guy fucks girl A and then guy fucks with girl A and C for the wonderfully generic threesome finale.

I love the artwork, but the stories in the newer ones are terrible, and they are mean-spirited, for the most part. Older ones like La Blue Girl don't take themselves too seriously and aren't as mean as the newer ones.

It's an acquired taste and some of it is rather hard to swallow. I'm not into bondage or the dreaded **** fantasy, but the animation is top notch. It's a love/hate relationship with the genre. The animation in Bible Black is amazing, but the content and the whole dickgirl thing is not my cup of tea. La Blue Girl is lighthearted and funny at times, but the animation isn't great and the sex scenes are rather short.

Yep Bible Black really was cool! There were some great moments of normal sexy stuff going on and then it all goes weird. I don't think I ever got the dickgirl part. That sounds offputting

It was great, until that woman grows a penis. Hentai is so hit and miss. There will be parts that are great, and suddenly a girl starts peeing. Or a tentacle beast will be having sex with a girl, then suddenly rip her face off and use it like a mask. Maybe they should get some writers from America to write one that isn't so off putting with some of the content.

It doesn't interest me in the least. I like real women, not fake or make believe. I don't even like fake boobs on a porn star.

It's definitely not for everyone. As a comic book fan growing up, I liked erotic comics/animation, but the only American movies were Heavy Metal and Fritz the Cat. I understand why a lot of people don't like it. I don't like most of it, personally, but there is some great stuff in the genre, if you get past some of the questionable content.
