One can edit/delete pm's while they're still in the outbox. Maybe that's what the author did? He/she deleted the pm's before you had the chance to read them.

It could also be a PM that was deleted by an admin, as they do monitor them. Maybe someone sent you something they shouldn't have, i.e. something that was against the rules?

Of course, that's also a possibility. Svinto - one of the admins - reads them all.

I don't know what happened to your pm's. We only gave you two possibile scenarios.

I also provided a link where they've discussed the privacy of pm's already. Both admins and mods speak - and there you can read why they must be monitored.

You can think whatever you want, but that's how it is.

Nothing is wrong, but how will you enforce a rule, if you don't read pms?!?

The admins of the board (not the mods) are able to read and check the pms, and if you violate one of the rules with your pm, you'll be penalised.

If you want to talk to someone private, use email (but I'm pretty sure, that some law enforcement agencies are able to read them as well).

Paranoid?!? Use PGP and email.
